The insanely popular show had it’s third season finale back on March 31st, which had a series-high 12.4 million total viewers, with 8.1 million of those coming from the coveted 18-49 demographic.

With the new season of The Walking Dead a little more than a month away, AMC has revealed the official season 4 poster. The poster features Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, standing in front of the prison with his pistol drawn. You can view the poster above, or a larger version here.

If the poster doesn’t really do enough for you, you can always check out the Comic-Con trailer here and the official season 4 synopsis below:

The Walking Dead, the most watched drama in basic cable history, returns for an exhilarating new season in October 2013. In this uncertain, apocalyptic world, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his band of survivors must not only fight the dead, but also face a whole new fear: the living. A 16-episode season, the series Entertainment Weekly called the “greatest thriller ever produced for television’ will air in two parts with Season 4, with the first eight hours kicking off in October 2013 then returning in early 2014 with the final eight episodes.

Season 4 of The Walking Dead will premiere on AMC on October 13 at 9 PM.
