If you’re a gamer, or, if you don’t like titles, someone who enjoys playing video games, today is something like Christmas. At least it should be. The reason for the “Christmas in July” feeling is, quite simply, because it has begun. That’s right, the Steam Summer Sale is upon us and if you haven’t had a chance to bask in the glow of the cheap digital distribution of some amazing games, you’re only cheating yourself. An enlargeable screenshot or two should be enough to motivate you to log onto to your Steam account:

It should be noted, however, thanks in large part to Reddit’s adoration with all things Steam, the popularity of the Steam Summer Sale is pretty high, and because of that, the actual service is getting hammered at the moment as gamers from all over log on in an effort to get their cheap games. In fact, while trying to procure Bioshock Infinite, I was greeted with the following screen every time I tried to add it to my cart:

Of course, when you see the list of available games on the sale’s first day, it easy to understand the reaction:
