The Sims 4 is now more or less a year away from release, and Maxis is still pumping out tons of content for The Sims 3. Today the developer and EA previewed the latest add-on content for game, The Sims 3 Roaring Heights.

Roaring Heights is styled after an idealized version of a 1950s-era boardwalk community. Players will be able to visit beaches, skyscrapers, and boardwalks in the expansion. The content also includes new a ton of new 1950s clothing and items for Sims 3 players, including art deco-inspired buildings, furniture, and landscape objects. In addition, the add-on comes with the “Classically Cool Fixer-upper Car” that Maxis is labeling as “Premium Content.” Roaring Heights will also be the site of future premium content “Sky High Roller Coaster,” which will have to be purchased separately.

The preview trailer for Roaring Heights was released today, and shows off much of the new scenery that players can look forward to in the expansion:

Roraring Heights is currently scheduled for a release next week, on December 12.

This.. doesn’t look too good. I mean, I’m not hating on it. I’m a long time fan of The Sims, having played 1, 2, and 3, while owning every expansion for 2-3. But this.. although not an expansion, really, just looks really bland and boring. Give us more futuristic stuff!

Typical EA milking as many shity expansions as possible, Ive been a fan since the start but the sims 3 and its expansions and stupid childish sims 3 music is horrible. Sims 1 and 2 days were the best
