The marketing of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified has been a bit hit and miss. The game was rumored to have originally been more of a standard third-person shooter, but now has some in-depth strategic controls inspired by last year's surprise hit XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Since the game's visuals don't appear to be anything mind-blowing, 2K Games has focused many of its trailers on what makes The Bureau different from other shooters - permanent squad member death and "battle focus."
2K also threw money around for a series of live-action trailers starring Dominic Monaghan (Merry from Lord of the Rings, Charlie from Lost). Presumably those videos will make sense to gamers who play The Bureau.
Then there was the YOLO trailer, which won't be mentioned further.
In anticipation of The Bureau's release tomorrow, 2K today released the launch trailer for the game. The video finally provides a bit of perspective on what exactly the game's character are hoping to accomplish by covering up an alien invasion in 60s America:
