By: Alexandria Sardam - October 9, 2013

Country sweetheart, Taylor Swift was named songwriter/artist of the year. This exciting win for Swift has made it her sixth win, beating out other country superstars like Vince Gill and Alan Jackson.

The Nashville Songwriters Association International announced the news on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The award recognizes Nashville musicians that have achieved Top 30 singles. With that being said, Swift has released 14 Top 30 songs from July 2012 through June 2013.

Another thrilling monument for Swift is that she’s the youngest act to receive this award.

Her six awards will be displayed at the Taylor Swift Education Center, which opens Saturday at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Swift has donated a total of 4$ million to the center.
