A new study by the Email Experience Council says that images and links in emails are often not visible because of email reader restrictions and coding errors. The EEC Rendering Report examined 1,000 emails from business-to consumer and business-to business to find out the renderability of the messages.

Google Images Cleans Up Its Act

Google Image Search has undergone a mild facelift, and the search results page is no longer cluttered with text about pictures’ dimensions, file sizes, and url sources. That information is less than a mouse click away, however – positioning your cursor over an image will cause all of the info to appear in a familiar blue box.

China is on pace to surpass the number of Internet users in the U.S. Last year the country had a 23 percent increase in Internet users brining the total to 137 million.

Brewer Hopes To Be The King Of Video Content

Anheuser-Busch has announced it will launch a new online entertainment network on February 4, Super Bowl Sunday called Bud.TV The site will feature content similar to late night TV. They have also teamed with Aristotle Inc., based in Washington, D.C. to implement an age verificication system for the online network.

Google users in Germany got a surprise on Tuesday morning when, for a brief period, the search engine company seemed to have lost ownership of its home page. Google is now back in charge of Google.de, though, and all is well with the search engine company’s world.

MySpace has filed a federal lawsuit against well-known spammer, Scott Richter also known as the “Spam King” for the reputation he has earned. The suit filed in the Central District of California, says Richter’s companies OptInRealBig, CPA Empire and Media Breakaway are responsible for millions of MySpace bulletins being sent through its system between July and December of last year.

Digital music sales in 2006 doubled over the previous year. As did the number of songs made available online. Record labels have become somewhat more comfortable as they continue to try and find the right combination of distribution models along with digital music products.
