Cobain recently blasted Kendall Jenner on the social media network after Jenner tweeted that she “wished things could be easier sometimes”.

“Oh shh. There are kids on earth abandoned&homeless who forcibly drink contaminated water because clean water isn’t accessible,” Cobain tweeted back. “Oh ya, not to mention, CANCER, famine, poverty, draught, disease, natural disasters, Death. Fuck, Humans are so self involved.”

She then tweeted:

Jenner’s only response has been a quote from Frank Ocean: “Sorry, but I don’t need any part time people in my life. You’re either with me or you’re not. You can’t just come and go as you please.”

Today, the company announced the availability of TV ad targeting, which has been developed through its acquisition of Bluefin Labs. Twitter says it’s designed to make it easier to extend and enhance TV ad campaigns. The offering is now available for Promoted Tweets in limited beta to select partners running national TV commercials in the U.S.

“TV ad targeting enables marketers to engage directly with people on Twitter who have been exposed to their ads on TV,” says Twitter Revenue Product Manager Michael Fleischman. “Synchronized Twitter and TV ad campaigns make brand messages more engaging, interactive and measurable, while making it easy for marketers to run always-on Twitter campaigns that complement and amplify their TV creative.”

Twitter is giving advertisers a new TV ads dashboard, which shows when a brand’s TV ads have aired.

“This will help digital teams align not only with what’s shown on TV and when, but give insight into how Promoted Tweets can be crafted in the most effective ways to build upon broader marketing themes,” says Fleischman. “TV ad targeting works by using video fingerprinting technology to automatically detect when and where a brand’s commercials are running on TV, without requiring that advertiser to do any manual tracking or upload media plan details. Whenever a commercial airs during a TV show, Twitter not only determines where and when it ran, but can identify users on Twitter who tweeted about the program where the ad aired during that program. We believe a user engaged enough with a TV show to tweet about it very likely saw the commercials as well.”

Twitter also announced a new wave of multi-screen partners today, and named the partnership program Twitter Amplify. New partners (which join BBC America, FOX, Fuse and The Weather Channel) include: A&E, theAudience, Bloomberg TV, Clear Channel, Conde Nast, Discovery, MLB.com, National Cinemedia, New York Magazine, PGA Tour, PMC, Time Inc., VEVO, Warner Music, WWE and VICE.

According to Bloomberg, Twitter plans to release a tool similar to Facebook’s custom-audience feature as well.

The ex-baseball great, who made news just yesterday when it was announced he’ll be moving to Texas to play/coach for the Fort Worth Cats, has deleted the tweets above from his account but did post this one today:

Las Vegas police say they won’t reveal any details since it is an open investigation, but they have confirmed that Canseco is indeed a suspect in the case. Now, he’s drawing the ire of many who can’t believe he would post the name of the woman on a social network.

“Every day, a growing number of people log in to Twitter. Usually these login attempts come from the genuine account owners, but we occasionally hear from people whose accounts have been compromised by email phishing schemes or a breach of password data elsewhere on the web. Today we’re introducing a new security feature to better protect your Twitter account: login verification,” says Twitter.

It works similar to other two-step verification systems you may be familiar with (Google, for instance). Once you enable login verification, the next time you attempt to log in you’ll also need to enter a code that Twitter will send to your mobile device. So, it’s your password + mobile code. Two steps.

All you have to do to enable it is visit your account settings page.

Twitter says that you existing applications you’ve enabled via Twitter login should be unaffected:

“With login verification enabled, your existing applications will continue to work without disruption. If you need to sign in to your Twitter account on other devices or apps, visit your applications page to generate a temporary password to log in and authorize that application.”

Of course, two-factor authentication won’t solve all of your security problems, and it’s not foolproof. But it’s a much-needed buffer between you and everyone out there eyeing your account with malicious intent.

TMZ obtained a copy of a waiver that guests must sign upon admittance to his Calabasas, California home.

There, in plain writing, it reads that “”under no circumstances will you divulge the details of you entering and being on the Property or engaging in the Activities by any means or through any media whatsoever, including without limitation, through photographs, video, blogging, texting, ‘Tweeting’ or posting any such information on any social media site.”

The waiver also forbids guests from discussing “all information concerning [Bieber and company's] business and personal activities, including, without limitation, their legal and financial affairs, physical health, or the philosophical, spiritual or other views or characteristics.”

The document stipulates damages of up to $5 million for violation of the terms.

TMZ notes that this is hardly news in the celebrity community – other celebs also make guests sign these types of waivers.

Twitter cards, in general, let you attach media experiences to tweets, which link to your content. You can add a few lines of HTML to your pages, and those who tweet your content will have a “card” added to the tweet.

“The Lead Generation Card makes it easy for users to express interest in what your brand offers. Users can easily and securely share their email address with a business without leaving Twitter or having to fill out a cumbersome form,” explains Twitter Revenue Product Manager Mitali Pattnaik. “When someone expands your Tweet, they see a description of the offer and a call to action. Their name, @username, and email address are already pre-filled within the Card. The user simply clicks a button to send this information directly (and securely) to you.”

The company has been testing the Lead Generation Card with brands like New Relic, Full Sail and Priceline. According to Twitter, feedback has been positive, and beta participants found the cards to be low cost-per-lead compared to other services.

The cards will only be available for Twitter’s managed clients at this point, but will launch globally and to small and medium sized businesses in the near future.

Today, Weiner officially entered the mayoral race with a YouTube video.

“…The classic New York story: you work hard, you make it into the middle class, and you make life a little bit better for your kids. That’s how this city was built,” says Weiner.

“But it’s getting harder and harder every day – some of the highest rents in the country…goog jobs with benefits disappearing, our schools aren’t what they should be, and we need to keep this city safe.”

Weiner doesn’t shy away from his past indiscretions:

“Look, I made some big mistakes, and I know I let a lot of people down. But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it my entire life. And I hope I get a second chance to work for you.”

According to recent polling, Weiner trails Democratic frontrunner Christine Quinn by a margin of 15% to 25%. That same poll indicated that 49% of people felt the Weiner shouldn’t run for mayor.
