Leo Laporte’s ‘This Week in Tech’ live video show moved to Stickam.com exclusively, as the streaming provider kicked on 16:9 high-definition resolution for its shows.

Just weeks after This Week in Technology (T.W.i.T) podcast host Leo Laporte lit up a packed ballroom about the future and struggles facing podcasting at the Podcast and Portable Media Expo, Laporte posted notice on his blog that the end of his popular show could be fast approaching.

Audio and video search engine and online advertising network PodZinger announced the launch of its advertising platform with free opt-in for podcasters. PodZinger uses a speech recognition technology to identify audio and video content, produce text for it, and place relevant advertising.

It’s only fitting that Leo Laporte should open this year’s Podcast and Portable Media Expo with the first keynote – he’s some sort of god among this crowd – the phrase “star-struck” was a steady drumbeat in the pact, and hushed, ballroom.
