TurnHere has shared the results of an interesting survey on current and future trends in online video among brands and marketing agencies. The survey found that online video has and will continue to have a prominent place in the arsenal of marketers. It should be noted that TurnHere is an online video company.
A 2008 survey from MarketingSherpa indicated that 52% of viewers took action after seeing an online video ad; 28% looked for more information; and 16% bought something. Statistics like these appear to have resonated with some advertisers, because advertising through online video seems to be on the way up.
Simon & Schuster and TurnHere have launched online videos featuring Simon & Schuster authors and sneak previews of new releases. The videos will be hosted on a Simon & Schuster branded YouTube platform and on Bookvideos.tv, a new online video channel focused on books and author personalities.
