Each of the network’s student-run publications will have free access to a customizable, private-label video player and a variety of on-demand content channels covering news, sports and entertainment from providers such as The Associated Press and Reuters.

The ROO content team will work with mtvU to create and acquire original video exclusively for this network. The video player will allow online student papers to distribute their own video content and they will have the option to partner with a university’s TV station to offer is programming worldwide.

The video players will be designed to resemble the same look and feel of each college newspaper site. Publications that use the plug-and-play applications will be able to take advantage of a new video advertising revenue stream.

The College Publisher platform is the only online publishing system focused entirely on college newspapers.

"College students are probably the most discriminating, demanding and sophisticated consumers of video in the market today," said Robert Petty, CEO of ROO. "They watch online video more than any other group and their expectations for content and technical quality are extraordinarily high."

Internet broadcast company ROO and the Real Estate Channel have partnered to launch a video on demand broadband network that offers builders, developers and agents an alternative to traditional TV, radio and print advertising. The hope is to create a less expensive way to advertise while still reaching their target audience.

The network provides real estate companies an IPTV channel through which they can attract new customers for real estate projects, communities and products, while building awareness of service offerings.

The channel is scheduled to launch on April 1st. It will offer its viewing audience business generated sales, promotional, educational and company profile video content to all Internet enabled devices.

The video service is built on a success based advertising price structure. Customers pay when a user has searched for a specific product or service by category or geographic area and has viewed the advertiser’s video.

“ROO specializes in customizing Internet video strategies to the specific needs of our customers," said Robert Petty, chairman and CEO of ROO. "Because all users of the REAL ESTATE CHANNEL pre-qualify themselves by selecting real estate categories and geographic districts, advertisers are assured their videos are reaching an extremely targeted audience. For advertisers, it’s pure value."

The two partners hope that their collaboration will allow channel operators to grow their business, increase traffic and build loyalty among real estate companies.

"Think of us as the business-grade "YouTube" of real estate," said Michael Gerrity, CEO of REAL ESTATE CHANNEL. "With ROO, we will be able to showcase and profile various real estate communities’ projects and services on demand, from all across the U.S., to both local and global real estate audiences. This IS the future of TV — success based broadcasting!"
