Unfamiliar with “Total Recall”? Then you probably need this synopsis:

For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid, even though he’s got a beautiful wife who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life – real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man as he finds himself on the run from the police.

“Total Recall” stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, Bokeem Woodbine, John Cho, and Bill Nighy. Oh, and a three-breasted alien. Can’t forget about her. Look for the film to arrive in North American theaters on August 3rd.

Considering the season being teased is supposed to be the last season of Breaking Bad, any thoughts on how it will play out? Will Walter survive his reign as the crystal meth king or is Jesse next in line? In case you may not know, the fifth season will be split in two eight-episode segments. The first segment starts on July 15. The second segment, however, will not be shown until the summer of 2013, which means it will take one more year of patronage before you get the final resolution.

Knowing Breaking Bad fans like I do, that won’t be much of a problem, save the fact that it’s going to take an entire year to get there.

Facebook commences its IPO at 11 AM EST today, which Mark Cuban says might be the most important in history. Facebook’s valuation is at $104 billion, a fairly ridiculous amount of money, to say the least.

One can only speculate what the latest motivational poster is specifically geared toward, and investors seem to be likers of Facebook’s shares, as the company was forced to make more stock available, as it quickly sold out. Still, outside of all the intrigue and buzz, there really isn’t anything in place to prevent the $100+ billion company from devolving into the next Myspace.

The poster for the film seems to be playing up that Jennifer Lawrence is in the film, which makes total sense. As her latest film, The Hunger Games, was number 1 at the box office for four straight weeks and has grossed over $336 million in the US alone. Check out the poster for yourself below:

That having been said, I honestly think that “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” looks fairly amazing. Then again, I thought the same thing when I saw the promotional material for the first entry in the franchise, so I apparently know nothing. Google+Reader”>Slashfilm managed to get an exclusive look at the Cobra Commander character poster, which looks incredibly slick.

Twitter nerds have been pretty pumped about the flick’s upcoming release, and the latest poster has only added fuel to that fire. You can find a few of their reactions below.

John C. Riley will star as Wreck-it Ralph the villain in a 8-bit video game reminiscent of Donkey Kong and Rampage. Tired of the life of a bad-guy, Wreck-it Ralph sets out to become a hero instead.

Making an appearance in the film we be video game characters past and present. Or rather, generic versions that are pretty obviously intended to be the real thing but aren’t in order to avoid copyright infringement.

Other actors and actresses slated to star are Jack McBrayer (30 Rock page) as the hero Fix-It-Felix, Jane Lynch as a Master Chief-esque Sergeant Calhoun, and Sarah Silverman as Vanellope von Schweetz.

Disney’s official synopsis sums it up pretty well:

The movie could very well have a trailer attached to The Avengers this summer, so be on the look-out for that.

When making a movie about a power hungry totalitarian regime you must have some obligatory propaganda posters to go with it. College Humor supplies the communist style propaganda that, frankly, the movie could have used.

These posters are all pretty self-explanatory so I will go into some super-fun facts about the Hunger Games.

Lionsgate has said that they will only make the full trilogy if the first film does well. The movie has now spent its fourth week in a row at the top of the box office. It is the only film since “Avatar” to accomplish the feat. In North America it has made $337 million so far.

The film has beaten the likes of “The Lorax”, “21 Jump Street”, “John Carter”, and “Titanic 3D” to earn the top spot. Titanic spent 15 weeks at the top of the box office when it first came out.

Director Gary Ross will not be directing the next sequel in the Hunger Games Trilogy: Catching Fire. Ross has said that he did not really care for the other books in the trilogy.
