TMZ is reporting that the famed ‘Playboy Bunny house’ is now up for sale. The abode is located directly across the street from the larger and more infamous Playboy Mansion in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. The house is 6,690 square-feet and includes 5 bedrooms, and 6 and a half bathrooms. The place also, of course, has a whale-shaped pool with an “oasis waterfall.”

The bunny house is known for having housed Playboy centerfolds such as Jayde Nicole, the 2008 Playmate of the Year. It was also home to a portion of the cast of the Playboy reality TV series The Girls Next Door.

When a celebrity agrees to pose for the magazine, however, Playboy’s high standards for body type and age can be relaxed a little. The magazine has featured pictorials from stars such a Tiffany and Debbie Gibson well into their 30s, and Denise Richards appeared in the magazine just months after giving birth to her first child.

Not everyone can qualify for such exceptions, though, and with so many reality shows on TV these days there are dozens of semi-celebrities who believe they deserve a place in Playboy. The publication does not agree.

TMZ this week reported that Pia Rizza, star of reality TV show Mob Wives Chicago, was rejected by Playboy after sending in her nude pictures. The report states that leaked nude photos of Rizza were being sold, and she didn’t want the pics to make money for someone else. The photos were sent to Playboy, who politely informed her that they were not interested.

Pia Rizza is the daughter of Vincent Rizza, a mobster who testified against The Chicago Outfit and entered the Witness Protection Program.

The specific cause of O’Connor’s death has not been released, but it appears that she had been sick in the days leading up to her passing. On January 26 Hefner tweeted that his wife, Crystal, was visiting O’Connor, who was “not doing very well.”

In addition to her work for Playboy, O’Connor made multiple appearances on the reality show The Girls Next Door:

The issue is the giant, human-sized doghouse she had built in her backyard, which is painted pink and, according to the HOA, doesn’t fall within the guidelines of what is allowed on the street. But, Madison contends, it can’t be seen from outside her fence, which makes the entire point moot.

“They keep fining me for having it painted pink. But the thing about it is I asked the contractor because when I had that thing built, I kind of knew I wasn’t going to stay in this house, and I wanted something I could put on a pallet and take to the next place with me,” she said. “Absolutely, it’s a temporary structure, so it’s not even under their jurisdiction. That would be like harping on someone over their kids’ jungle gym.”

Madison says the HOA sends her monthly statements fining her $100 for the doghouse, which she refuses to pay. As of now the former Playmate and her boyfriend are set to move out of the neighborhood to start their family. In fact, they already have a place picked out.

“It’s the cutest neighborhood, and I love how close it is to downtown. It’s quirky and old,” she said. “We’re selling this house. We thought of renting it, but we’re finished here.”

Although it’s not as big as the one Jennifer Aniston has been flaunting, it’s certainly large and sparkly enough to turn some heads. The 26-year old posted photos of the bauble on Twitter under the caption “My beautiful ring from Hugh Hefner”.

The couple had a date set for last June, but the wedding was ultimately called off and Harris sold her ring to Christie’s Auction House…for half its worth.

”For a while, I’d been having second thoughts about everything, so I haven’t really been at peace with myself lately. It was all just happening too fast for me. I just sat back and thought about it all.” Harris said in an interview. “Is this what I wanted? And it wasn’t.”

But apparently the couple have made amends, because the wedding is back on and is set for New Year’s Eve at the Playboy mansion. When the pair officially got back together, Hef announced the news on Twitter.

“Getting back together with Crystal Harris shouldn’t be a big surprise, since I have a history of remaining close to former girlfriends. It’s Mary O’Conner (Hefner’s assistant) that brought Crystal Harris back. Crystal was miserable & said so. Mary told Crystal to write & tell me, which she did.”

It’s unclear whether commenters think the costume was inappropriate because Madison is pregnant, or because a Bunny shouldn’t sully the good name of a Disney princess, but either way the comment forum got a little wild on E!online.com.

If you consider the University of Virginia an odd choice for top party school, you aren’t alone. The Playboy list includes institutions that are more known for their academic prowess than their heavyweight drinkers, such as Vanderbilt University.

There is some consensus, though: it’s clear that the University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Georgia and University of South Carolina are all major party locations. All of those schools were also listed in the Princeton Review’s list of top party schools back in July.

Katrina Darling isn’t afraid to strip down to her birthday suit, especially when there’s money involved. Playboy is reportedly offering Middleton’s curvy cousin an eight-page pictorial, which is currently scheduled to hit newsstands on August 17th. What’s curious about the whole situation is that Darling doesn’t have a relationship with Kate — she didn’t know they were related until she listened to media reports on the subject — which means she’s just milking her second cousin’s name and popularity for a chance to share a piece of the limelight. Classy.

“[It would be] awkward to meet Kate. I’m not sure what I would say in that sort of situation. But I’m sure we would find something to laugh about in it all,” Katrina explained in June.

The unexpected connection to the Duchess of Cambridge has certainly had a positive effect on her career as a stripper. However, the perks of popularity have come with a price. According to Darling, she’s isn’t exactly treated with respect in the press, though, according to her, she doesn’t really pay much attention to such things.

“I’ve been called God knows what in God knows how many languages. I try not to take the negative attention as a personal attack, I try not to pay attention. I try not try read the press too much, so I don’t know what they’re saying about me,” she explained.

Neiman painted other subjects, as well, but became known in the public eye as an artist for athletes after he was named the official artist for the Olympic games in 1980 and ’84. His vibrant paintings captured the subjects with raw emotion using several sharp brush strokes and a vivid color pallet; he made it look so easy that several people tried to imitate his style. But it was impossible to recreate Neiman’s bold work in the same way.

“There was always a genuine aspect to it,” said Patty Otis Abel, an editor of his memoir. “It was never phony. This was a genuine guy and a true original.”

Neiman truly lived life to the fullest and was something of a vessel for our history; after enlisting in the army in 1942, he stormed the beach at Normandy and took on the Battle of the Bulge. After surviving the horrors of war, he came home and enrolled in an art institute on the G.I. Bill, expanding his natural talent. As he began to establish himself as an artist, he made good friends of Muhammed Ali and Playboy founder Hugh Hefner as well as infamous artists Dali and Andy Warhol. He traveled with Frank Sinatra and was at the 1972 Munich Olympics when the terrorist attacks occurred. His life was a work of art in itself, holding all the adventure, creativity, happiness, and horror of at least three lifetimes.

Neiman worked for Playboy for years, writing a feature called “Man At His Leisure” which ran for 15 years. He also created the enormously popular “Femlin” character, which was used in the magazine for over fifty years.

Neiman recently published his memoir, “All Told”, which tells all about his fascinating life and the people in it, and celebrated his 91st birthday on June 8th. He passed away of natural causes in a Manhattan hospital.
