By now, you surely know that Jodi Arias was found guilty of first-degree murder. The case had captured the attention of America, but we won’t see the conclusion until a sentence is handed down. Charles Ramsey Turned Into Superman In This Video

As previously suggested, it was only a matter of time before Charles Ramsey became a meme. Who better to help this along than Taiwanese animation studio Next Media Animation?

Ramsey is the neighbor of the three brothers arrested for the kidnapping of three women in Cleveland a decade ago. The women, as you have no doubt heard, have been rescued, and though police have deemed Amand Berry the real hero here, Ramsey has received some credit and spotlight as well.

Ramsey heard screams, and helped Berry open the door after she told him she’d been kidnapped. Here’s a new famous interview Ramsey did with a local FOX affiliate:

The Walking Dead Season Four (Taiwanese Animation Style)

The season finale of The Walking Dead didn’t go over that well with some fans and critics, but there’s hope that the next season will be better. Everybody’s favorite Taiwanese animators at NMA hope so too and have put together a short live-action trailer that follows the exploits of Glenn Rhee’s unnamed sister.

Besides the hilariously animated zombies, NMA might be onto something here. A spin-off Web series that explores previously unknown characters in The Walking Dead universe could potentially be a hit. It would also be a good way to keep people interested in the franchise in between seasons since the latest game was pretty much a disaster.

Taiwanese animation firm Next Media Animation has a special style when it comes to covering events in popular culture. We’ve seen provocative takes on the Presidential Election, the Super Bowl halftime show, and the firing of Groupon CEO Andrew Mason, to name a few.

With quarterback Tim Tebow being released from the Jets this week, it was inevitable that NMA would take on the news. So, here you go:

AP Twitter Hack Gets The NMA Treatment

Though Tuesday’s hack of the AP’s Twitter account that sent U.S. markets into a freefall is no laughing matter, our favorite Taiwanese animators over at NMA do their best to make it entertaining. According to NMA’s take on the event, the fake attack on the White House signaled by the bogus tweet has something to do with flatulence. The video also takes some shots at The NY Post and Fox News.

If that’s not enough of a reason to watch, I don’t know what is:

The AP Twitter hack has prompted an FBI investigation, and has likely sped up Twitter’s plans to add an extra layer of account security with two-step verification.

Samsung Vs. HTC (Taiwanese Animation Style)

As you may or may not know, Taiwan’s Fair Trade Commission is investigating allegations that Samsung paid students to attack HTC smartphones on the web.

Rutgers basketball coach Mike Rice was fired this week after a video of him kicking and shoving players (and using gay slurs) during practice was made public.

And where there’s scandal, there’s Taiwanese animation studio Next Media Animation, which always offers an entertaining slant on current events. Here’s NMA’s take on the Mike Rice firing:

According to Fox News, Rice is due a $100,000 bonus.

Iron Man 3: Chinese Trailer (Taiwanese Animation Style)

Taiwanese animation firm Next Media Animation has put out its own trailer for the much anticipated Iron Man 3. It’s pretty characteristic of NMA’s body of work.

News recently came out that Chinese viewers will see a different cut of Iron Man 3 than other audiences. This video is a take on that.

This one looks a lot better than Iron Man 2.

Bikram Sex Scandal Gets The Taiwanese Animation Treatment

As you may have heard, there’s a sex scandal going on in the yoga community. Where there’s scandal, there’s usually NMA (Next Media Animation).

The Taiwanese animation firm has covered everything from the Maker’s Mark debacle to the firing of Groupon’s CEO with their own, unique spin.

In real life, a lawsuit was filed against Choudhury Bikram, founder of Bikram Yoga. A woman named Sarah Baughn alleges that Bikram sexually harassed and assaulted her during a yoga instructor training camp back in 2005.

The Bikram Yoga organization responded, calling these “false charges,” but Choudhury has not commented.

Bill Gates’ Condom Contest Gets the NMA Treatment

As previously reported, the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation is looking for new innovations in the new round of their “Grand Challenges Explorations” initiative. One of these contests is for a $100,000 grant to develop a better condom, you know, to increase usage around to world to help protect against unwanted pregnancies and diseases.

The condom hasn’t really received an upgrade in nearly 50 years, argues the foundation. And why not?

The story is big enough that our favorite Taiwanese animators, NMA, decided to give it their treatment. As expected, it’s pretty off-the-wall. Check out the video below for hilariously misguided attempts to use condoms, Sims-like lovemaking, and a not-so-subtle hint that Apple is also looking to score in this department.
