According to a report from the Charleston Daily Mail, 21-year-old Gandee was found in a vehicle with two other bodies. Gandee was reported missing on Sunday after failing to return from a 4-wheeling trip with his uncle. The other two bodies are reported to be those of Shain’s uncle, David Gandee, and a man named Robert Myers. The cause of their death has not yet been released.

The series Buckwild premiered on MTV this January. The series follows the lives of young adults living in rural West Virginia.

MTV has released a statement expressing its condolences:

“We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly.”

TMZ is reporting that Abraham was pulled over in Omaha, Nebraska after making a wide turn. The police later determined that she had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit.

Abraham began starring in the MTV reality series Teen Mom in 2009. The show has chronicled Abraham’s family problems and her difficulties raising her four-year-old daughter, Sophia Abraham. Police have stated that Sophia was not in the car with Abraham when she was arrested.

Abraham has not directly addressed the incident, but did post a reference to it to her Twitter feed:

Abraham is not the first Teen Mom star to run into trouble with the law. Last summer, Amber Portwood was sentenced to five years in prison for domestic battery charges.

Abraham also made headlines in January, when video surfaced showing her forcibly waxing Sophia’s eyebrows:

JWoww and Snooki will be co-hosts with Jeff Dye for the annual New Year’s Eve bash thrown by the former music-channel and will be joined by some big-name acts to keep everyone entertained while we wait for the big ball to drop in Times Square, including Ke$ha, Ne-Yo, and Rita Ora.

“New Year’s Eve is the one night of the year where everyone leaves their inhibitions at the door and comes together in a sweaty, drunken, dance-fueled orgy of bliss,” said Ke$ha.

The Jersey Shore stars and best friends will also be celebrating the upcoming premiere of their spinoff show, “Snooki & JWoww”, so let’s hope Snooki’s got a babysitter planned for the wee hours, because she’ll be ready to party.

“I hope they have a leopard bedazzled microphone for this co-host, I’m so excited to ring in 2013 with Jenni and Jeff, so look out Times Square!” she said.

Of course, not everyone is so excited.

Still, if you like gawking at pretty girls in bikinis when you should be doing much more productive things with your life, then perhaps the images you see embedded beneath this article are precisely the sort of mind-blowing experience you need this afternoon. If so, by all means, indulge. However, before skipping over the rest of this text to get to the good stuff, let’s read what Patridge thinks about wearing swimsuits. You know, in general.

“I don’t even think twice about wearing a swimsuit because it’s always been a part of my lifestyle,” she explained to Shape magazine last year. “But I have girlfriends who are so afraid to show their bodies. They won’t take off their towels at the beach or pool. It’s a shame because everyone can look good in a suit.”

No, Audrina, they do not. If she saw me in a revealing bathing suit at the beach, chances are she would hand me a towel while curling her lips in a most unattractive manner. I wish I was joking. My body is a remarkably frightening landscape to behold, and I’m actually okay with that. Oh, wait. Maybe she was just talking about the ladies. My bad.

The fact that this is the best trailer to come out of the TDKR marketing push only helps MTV’s cause:

The last Nolan/Batman movie hits the theaters on July 20, which, after watching the latest trailer, all of a sudden seems a long way off. Does the MTV trailer increase your hype meter for last installment of Nolan’s journey through Gotham? Does any still think Batman will die at the end?

What makes MTV-related awards shows so big is not just the award giving, but the shenanigans that happen during the awards shows themselves. For example, some of the most talked about events have happened during the sister awards show of the VMAs (Video Music Awards): guy climbing the set, the kiss between Madonna and Britney Spears, and the Kanye/Beyonce/Taylor Swift incident. Who knows what will happen during this year’s MTV Movie Awards?

With this year’s MTV Movie Awards, fans/viewers can vote for their favorite hero in the “Best Hero” category prior to the award show by tweeting the name of the hero, along with a Twitter hashtag as supplied below.

The feature will allow users to view how many tweets per minute any moment is garnering and share photos of certain moments across social networks.
• Facebook Tracker – MTV will introduce a Facebook Tracker to keep tabs on the level of Likes and shares of Movie Awards moments shared on its Facebook page.
• All-Access Live – The show’s second-screen experience for desktops and mobile devices will give viewers six camera angles (red carpet, dressing room, paparazzi, audience, balcony and MTV cut), sharing capabilities, a place to chat with fellow viewers and animated GIFs from celebrities on the red carpet. The GIFs will be posted on MTV’s Tumblr blog.
• Shazam – The ceremony will be Shazam-enabled, meaning viewers can use the app during the broadcast to buy performers’ music and watch social media interactions.
• Post-show Features – MTV will have a red carpet galleries and interviews, backstage video highlights and editorial coverage of the show and winners.

A player enters a league with family and friends then drafts a 12 player roster made up of congressional and presidential candidates. These teams then compete against each other by earning points. I’m not sure if there is an option for head-to-head game play or ROTO leagues (sorry, fantasy geek moment there). I know what your asking already. “How do you earn points?” It’s not like Obama threw 3 touchdowns last week.

The candidates earn points through fact checking in speeches PolitiFact, poll results given by Real Clear Politics and even the frequency in which they interact with voters through social media. The team owner can even earn points by registering to vote and checking in with social media applications when watching debates. The game is said to be very smartphone friendly. So everyone can check on their team anywhere.

More real time reactions could result in more interest by the youth of America and maybe even influencing the candidates themselves to be more responsible with their campaigns. I personally can’t wait for the first voter to go up to their congressman and tell them how the speech they gave last week cost them a playoff spot. MTV is running a beta-test version of the Fantasy Election ’12 this summer and launching the game September 1st.

The exploits of Evans, 20, and Head, 22, are chronicled on the popular TV series “Teen Mom 2″, a program that explores the ins and outs, the trials and tribulations of raising a child as a teenager. The show has generated its fair share of controversy since its inception, as critics seem to feel that it glorifies teenage pregnancy. However, anyone who has actually watched more than 15 minutes of “Teen Mom 2″ knows that it works much better as a contraceptive than an aphrodisiac. Any teenage girl who is inspired to have a child of their own after consuming an episode clearly has bigger issues bubbling beneath the surface.

Will Evans and Head’s relationship last? That remains to be seen. Back in April, the couple apparently went their separate ways, which sent Evans into the arms of her former squeeze Kieffer Delp. However, things have gotten better for the couple as of late; Head, for example, recently helped Evans recover from her boob job, which, I’m sure, was a completely selfless act. True love glistens like freshly-scrubbed surgical equipment.

The O music awards celebrates everything digital in the music world, and they will now be back for their third installment of the not-so-typical awards show. It combines multiple concerts, an award show and a reality TV show about a band on the road.

The last two installments were held in Las Vegas West Hollywood, but this one will be a little different. This year the awards will follow an unnamed band as it tours the Mississippi Delta, stopping at eight different cities. Along with providing award show coverage they will also be attempting to break the Guinness World record for Most Live Concerts in multiple cities in a 24 hour period.

The whole thing will be live streamed. Which means a lot could go wrong. VP of Digital Music Strategy, Shannon Connolly and company are prepared to take that chance, though.

“Award shows today, generally, are so packaged and predictable,” says Connolly. “Here are the nominees and here are the winners. It just doesn’t have that feeling of authenticity or spontaneity make to it feel like there are real stakes here. But here, the bus that we’re driving really might not make it.”

The concept of a digital music award show is an interesting one. It definitely opens the doors for non-mainstream bands to enter the fray and make a stamp on the MTV culture. One that is notorious for promoting trendy and pop bands. If you go to omusicawards.com you can even suggest categories for new awards. Some awards shows let you vote for who you want to win, O Music Awards lets you vote for the categories themselves. And odds are, you have a pretty good chance of being selected. I would imagine a 24 hour awards show would leave a lot of spots to fill.

You have to hurry, though. The nominees are announced May 23rd. The show itself will take place June 27th.

Thats right: MTV and Adult Swim won’t touch it. Now that’s risqué.
