I’ve known about this video for awhile, but was apprehensive to post it. It’s the most dislikes I’ve ever seen for a video on YouTube though, so I thought it was deserving.

Now with the film even closer to unveiling, one source says the fans will be getting an awesome treat. For those 3D movie-goers, you will be able to pick from one of 4 special edition 3D glasses featuring such great franchises like Captain America, The Hulk, Thor and Iron Man.

To get the glasses, though, you’ll have to be willing to shell out an extra 5 bucks, which isn’t totally unreasonable for such a collector’s item. So if you want to go all out and “nerd it up”, you can opt for the collector’s glasses or go the cheap route and use the stock glasses given to you for the movie. Either way the movie is set to be a hit when it comes out in may of this year.

The movie is titled ‘Coffee Town’, and looks to have a pretty solid cast backing it. Glenn Howerton from ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ and Steve Little from ‘Eastbound & Down’ will be starring in the film. NEW YORK, Jan. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — CollegeHumor Media, an operating business of IAC (NASDAQ: IACI), announced today the production of its first theatrical motion picture Coffee Town, written and to be directed by Brad Copeland (“Arrested Development,” “My Name Is Earl”). This will be Brad Copeland’s debut as a feature director.

The film, which stars Glenn Howerton (‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’), Steve Little (‘Eastbound & Down’), Ben Schwartz (‘House of Lies’) and Josh Groban (‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’), will begin principal photography this February in Los Angeles. The film will be produced by CollegeHumor co-founder Ricky Van Veen.

Coffee Town is a modern-day workplace comedy for today’s job-hopping generation, focusing on Will (played by Howerton) and his two thirty-something friends who band together when their freeloading existence is threatened.
CollegeHumor will finance and produce the R-rated comedy, building upon its decade-long track record of creating and marketing irreverent comedy content. No release date is set.

“Brad has a sharp yet universal comic sensibility and we’re confident he’s going to be a fantastic director,” said Van Veen. “Coupled with the amazing cast we have so far, we’re incredibly enthusiastic about this project.”

Bonus: If you’ve somehow missed out on the Badman skits, this one is on me.

The crew shot the film with a Nokia N8 mounted to a modified 35-mm lens, to achieve a shallow depth of field. They also employed the use of a motorcycle side car, and even a RC helicopter for various scenes within the movie.

The film stars Gena Rowlands, John Scurti, Chris Maher, and Ruby Alexander. Other names affiliated with the project include Ben Lear, and Randi Zuckerberg (the older sister of Mark Zuckerberg).

According to the director’s Kickstarter page:

“The financing of Olive was done independently of any corporation. The goal now is to be the first film to not only be shot on a cell phone but to also be the first independently financed feature film on 2,000+ theaters across the United States without the backing of a Major Studio.”

The film went up on Kickstarter today, and it’s currently looking for $300,000 that will go towards distribution. You can check out Olive’s Kickstarter video below, it also includes some behind the scenes footage, and the first scene of the movie.

The movie is well written, directed, and the main character is grounded well, with solid acting from the actress. What really sets the movie apart is that it’s based on a true story, and webcam hacking is a practice with thousands of documented cases, according to the short film.

Well my friends, cue “The Final Countdown” and let’s all take a trip back to “The Big Yellow Joint” as a movie has finally been confirmed.

Mitchell Hurwitz, creator of Arrested Development, told attendees of the New Yorker Festival that he was also planning a 10 episode run of the show which would allow the audience to catch up on the characters’ lives. Hurwitz went on to say:

“Where everyone’s been for five years became a big part of the story. So, in working on the screenplay I found that even if I just gave five minutes per character to that backstory, we were halfway through the movie before the characters got together. And that kinda gave birth to this thing we’ve not been pursuing for a while and we’re kinda going public with a little bit. We’re trying to do kind of limited run series into the movie.”

It seems as though Hurwitz has a plan in place, and he even shared some of his ideas for the 10 episode run at the New Yorker festival:

“We’re basically hoping to do nine or 10 episodes with almost one character per episode, where like the first episode will just be Buster. We’re kinda picturing it like, um, well the latest joke we have is that, you know, it’s Cambridge, Massachusetts and there’s all these scientists in lab coats and they’re waiting for somebody and Buster comes through the door wearing a lab quote and says `let’s begin,’ and they say, `you don’t get to wear the lab coat, we’re experimenting on you. [garbled] And then we go through his life and we meet the people in his life and maybe he goes to see his therapist who he’s getting a good rate on because it’s Tobias and he’s lost his license. We can do cross overs and things like that. But it’s an unusual style of show I think and we get him to a certain point of peril in his life and then maybe we jump over to like Maeby and she’s living with Cornel West … “

The new episodes of Arrested Development are slated to air next Fall on possibly Showtime and Netflix, with the movie coming out sometime in 2013.

Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes said, "So far the 28-day window has clearly been a success versus no delay … the question of whether we ought to go longer is very much under scrutiny. It may well be a good idea."

Since Janurary, Netflix and Redbox customers were forced to wait a month to get new releases from Warner Bros… soon you could be waiting 45 or maybe even 60 days, but that’s just speculation at this point, as the current contract doesn’t expire until 2011.

The worst part about this situation is that other movie studios will probably jump on the upped wait time bandwagon. Will someone please explain why blocking or throttleing content seem like a good idea? This makes about as much sense as networks blocking content from Google TV.

Anyhow The Social Network film features an ensemble cast which consists of Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Brenda Song, Rashida Jones, Max Minghella, Rooney Mara, Malese Jow, and Joseph Mazzello.

The film was written by Aaron Sorkin and adapted from Ben Mezrich’s 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal. The film is distributed by Columbia Pictures and is set for an October 1, 2010 release. None of the Facebook staff, including founder Mark Zuckerberg, will be involved with the project. One of the co-founders, Eduardo Saverin, was a consultant for Mezrich’s book.
