The 16-year old was snapped recently in New York sporting bright green tresses, and though she kept the rest of her look simple in a t-shirt and jeans, her hair is getting some attention. Like most teenagers, however, she seems to just enjoy sampling new things, and hair color is an easy thing to change. Mom Madonna says she’s not very strict when it comes to certain things, something she wants to work on.

“I’m probably not as tough as I should be. I think I need to be maybe tougher,” she said.

But being one of the most famous and recognized faces in the world does add a certain amount of stress to her plate, and the Material Girl says she’s just doing her best to get through the day.

“To be a single mother of four and to work as much as I do, and live my life in a kind of metaphorical fish bowl, it’s pretty challenging,” she said. “But so far I’ve survived with sanity and humor intact.”

Lourdes is Madonna’s daughter with ex Carlos Leon; she also has a son, Rocco, with film director Guy Ritchie and both a son and daughter whom she adopted: David and Mercy.

“She is such a nightmare,” he said. “Her career is over, I can tell you that. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn’t happen to a bigger c**t.”

John has also publicly bashed Madge for lip-synching during her shows, saying she “should be shot” for making her fans pay $134 a ticket for it. But when she won a Golden Globe over him for her song “Masterpiece”, he was really sent into a tizzy, as was his husband David Furnish. Furnish tweeted about the win after the awards show with some scathing words.

‘Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in it’s narcissism’, he wrote.

Since John’s interview went public, Madonna has kept strangely quiet about the entire affair…until now. During her concert on Tuesday night in Nice, France, she dedicated “Masterpiece” to him and said he was a fan of hers, and that she forgives him.

Fans of the iconic singer aren’t surprised; she’s known for having sharp claws, but she doesn’t flash them in overt ways. Madonna tends to get her digs in with a smile on her face.

Presley’s hair, which was clipped by the musician’s favorite barber, Homer “Gil” Gilleland, comes sealed in a vial which should, in theory, preserve the locks for many years to come. Considering the price of the hair was a whopping $4,000, here’s hoping it stays fresh long enough for its new owner to get some enjoyment out of his or her purchase. What that may be, I shudder to think. In addition to the hair, a motorcycle jacket worn by the singer brought in $41,600, while one of his necklaces snagged an impressive $31,250.

Jackson’s items managed to bring in a ridiculous amount of cash, as well. The handwritten notebook, which includes lyrics to “Billie Jean”, sold for $40,625. The legendary musician’s 1984 Video Music Award, meanwhile, was purchased for $50,000, and a pair of signed black loafers were auctioned off at $18,750.

Last, but certainly not least, is Madonna’s underwear. If you’re a diehard fan of the Material Girl, then perhaps owning something that was once up close and personal with the singer is something you’d fancy. Madonna’s lingerie, which she wore during her Blonde Ambition tour, went for a staggering $34,375. Another piece of underwear, which was also plastered across her nether region during one of her many concerts, sold for $13,750.

Additionally, a few items from Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse were also available for sale. However, musicians weren’t the only ones with items up for grabs. A pair of Michael Jordan’s shoes, which he reportedly wore during his basketball days, went for $10,000.

Although Madonna’s demands aren’t nearly as ridiculous as you might initially imagine, they are a bit extravagant and more than a little excessive. For example, not only does the “Like a Virgin” singer travel with a 200-person entourage and 30 bodyguards, she also requires a team of professional chefs, a yoga instructor, an acupuncturist, and an on-site dry cleaner to tend to any stains, spills, or spots which may occur during her stay.

If that doesn’t sound entirely unreasonable, let’s discuss the 20 international phone lines that are to be installed in her hotel room. This, of course, is in addition to the special fabrics that must be draped over every piece of furniture and the never-ending supply of flowers that are to be trimmed to precisely six inches. She’s the material girl for a reason.

Why does Madonna need all of this stuff, you ask? According to In Touch magazine, the singer needs to feel as though she’s at home when she’s on the road. If she doesn’t feel properly comforted by her surroundings, her stage show suffers as a result. Whatever happened to just needing the screaming adoration of your legion of fans? Fame, fortune, and countless accolades aren’t enough to make some famous folks happy, I suppose.

When it first landed in bookstores across the nation back in the 90′s, the “Like a Virgin” singer’s explicit coffee table book “Sex” was insanely controversial. Some stores refused to carry the tome, while others kept it away from prying eyes by securing copies behind the counter. After seeing the book some years later, I couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about. Sure, the book featured some pretty graphic nudity, as well as some uncomfortable moments with cult actor Udo Kier, but it wasn’t as shockingly offense as the media made it out to be. Maybe that says something about me as a person.

Fans of the book with a little extra scratch in their pockets will likely turn out to bid on an unused photo from the “Sex” sessions which features Madonna posing in the buff. The photo, which finds the singer lounging nakedly in a chair while smoking a cigarette. Here’s hoping Lourdes doesn’t catch wind of this photo, otherwise her mom will have some serious explaining to do.

According to Fox News, the 1990 picture, which was taken by renowned photographer Steven Meisel, is expected to sell for $10,000. Given that you can find an endless supply of naked Madonna photos with a simple Google image search, it’s surprising that the auction house is anticipating such high bids. Meisel is a pretty big deal, so perhaps they’re hoping his fans will turn out with checkbooks in-hand.

The next time the teen decides to light up, she might want to make sure there aren’t any cameras pointed in her general direction.

Even funnier is the fact that Madonna can be clearly seen smoking one of those offending cigarettes in the video for her latest musical endeavor “Girls Gone Wild”. Kind of amusing, really, though I seriously doubt the singer/actress finds the situation to be all that hilarious.

Madonna recently sat down to talk to “Rock Center’s” Harry Smith, a clip from which aired yesterday morning on the Today Show.

“Honestly, I don’t think I’m as tough as I should be. I think I need to be maybe tougher,” she explained. “It’s hard — every day is a negotiation. But cigarette smoking I’m not very fond of — for anyone.”

One of her reps has also flatly denied rumors that she started smoking again while filming her movie “WE” back in 2010.

If this is all Madonna has to worry about right now, she’s actually pretty luck.

On Monday, Ryan Seacrest tweeted to Madonna–who had set up a Twitter account just for the release of her latest album, “MDNA”–with a question regarding whether or not she’d be willing to be Tim Tebow’s tour guide since he’s moving to New York. The performer, in true Madonna fashion, was coy and flirtatious with her answer.

Tim Tebow–who only recently inked a deal with the New York Jets after a sudden trade from his former team the Denver Broncos, who acquired Peyton Manning to take over his position–is well known for his Christian values and even started a tradition of kneeling on one knee for a quick prayer before games, which caught on with fans and is now known as “Tebowing”.

No word yet on Tebow’s reaction, but Twitter has certainly had something to say about it.

Part of MDNA’s success can be attributed to Benny Benassi who enhanced the albums energy by infusing sharp rhythms and dance sounds. Last week we reported that Benassi was impressed with Madonna’s commitment to the album, “Though she’s the mastermind behind an entertainment business empire, she tries everything first hand, she tests every single sound.”

She wanted dance sounds, sharp rythmes that would fit the audience of a pop star. After a while we were in the studio with her in London, for an entire week, working 10 hours a day, to produce the final versions of those two tracks. We were amazed by her dedication.

One writer for the American Press, Mesfin Fekadu, reviewed the album, ” The newest release, “MDNA” — her first apart from her longtime label, Warner Bros. — is full of upbeat dance jams and simmering slow grooves, and it delivers for the most part. True, it’s not nearly as top-notch as past records from the pop icon; the songs on “MDNA,” despite some risqué language, are much safer and tread familiar ground. Still, there are some standouts.

While the star may not be as good as she once was, the star is still breaking records. The first single from the album gave MDNA a strong start. Give Me All Your Luvin’” (featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.) was released on February 3, 2012. The single peaked at 10 on the Hot 100 Billboard making Madonna the female artist with the most top 10 hits on the chart; she has 41 No. 1 dance hits. The second single Girl Gone Wild was released digitally on March 2, 2012.

Fekadu noted that MDNA carried several tracks that indicate the pop icon is still bitter about her divorce with Guy Ritchie: “Love Spent,” with its Bollywood beat … finds Madonna calling out a lover with lyrics like: “You had all of me, you wanted more, would you have married me if I were poor? … Bitter much? However, Fekadu thought this was her best song while citing that, “Gang Bang” was a catastrophe, “I’m Addicted” sounded overproduced, and “I’m a Sinner” was just okay.

Mark Beech reviewed the album for Bloomberg and also felt that MDNA was short of wonderful, “MDNA” tries hard, often too hard, and is soaked in slick production. After 30 years in the business, Madonna Louise Ciccone should know she doesn’t need the lavish studio effects of newer stars such as Lady Gaga, Britney Spears or Rihanna.”

In Madonna’s defense, many artists are collaborating with top artists to reach wider audiences these days.

MDNA was recorded in New York and LA, reunites Madonna with former collaborator William Orbit (“Ray of Light”) who co-wrote and co-produced several cuts on the new album. Other co-producers include Martin Solveig, The Demolition Crew, Marco “Benny” Benassi and Alessandro “Alle” Benassi, Hardy “Indiigo” Muanza, Michael Malih and Madonna. The current single is “Girls Gone Wild.”

Producer Benny Benassi talked to Italian newspaper La Stampa about working on MDNA and how it came to fruition: “Madonna’s management contacted us to open her 2008 concert in Rome, in every city they used a local DJ. On that occasion I gave her one my CDs with some demos I created in our studio in Reggio Emilia. We didn’t hear anything back from them. Then a few months ago Madonna asked one of her producers to call us. She asked us to work on two tracks for her new album. She wanted dance sounds, sharp rythmes that would fit the audience of a pop star. After a while we were in the studio with her in London, for an entire week, working 10 hours a day, to produce the final versions of those two tracks. We were amazed by her dedication. Though she’s the mastermind behind an entertainment business empire, she tries everything first hand, she tests every single sound.”

Benassi explained that Madonna made the album for people who love to dance and merry the night: “She told us that this record must be for her, a declaration of love for the world of nightclubs. An album that contains the styles and atmospheres that have characterized the last decades of international nightlife. We represent the Italian dance for her vision, immediately recognizable, made ​​in the “Reggio Emilia. In Girl Gone Wild the repeating sounds and distorted rhythms are put together typical of Italian Dance pop/disco.”

These dance inspired shoes will range in price from an affordable $89 all the way up to $349. The line will carry over 60 styles that will include booties, heels, and flats.

The runway-esque shoes are accented with decorative studs and cap-toe details; the line was designed by Madonna and creative consultant Arianne Phillips.

Phillips told Footwear News that Madonna’s “[...] fingers are really on this brand. The first thing I did was remind her of all the shoes she wore over the years, and we took the styles that we can’t live without. You can always depend on her to bring her style and provocateur quality, but she also has a very feminine perspective.”

I personally love the shoe in the middle; it almost roars with female dominance and sexuality. The racy designs are meant to target potential female customers who are 27-50 years of age.

Retailers include Aldo shoes, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Canada’s The Bay and the UK’s Selfridges, as well as website Asos.com.

The line is expected to tap into French and Spanish markets in 2013

Madonna wants to expand her brand even further and boast Truth or Dare products from twenty different categories. The next stop after shoes is intimates and eventually leg wear.
