In a statement released this morning, Fast Search & Transfer (FAST) and Infospace have announced a partnership aimed at delivering an ASP mobile search service, enable carriers to assert more control over their content business models while providing mobile search to customers.
Topix.net announced a deal with InfoSpace to add Topix.net’s news headlines to InfoSpace’s Dogpile metasearch service, and also to help Dogpile’s new IntelliFind technology determine when news content is likely to be relevant to users’ Web search queries.
No topic has received as much coverage recently as that of “local search” – the ability to find search results that are targeted to a users geographical preference. Google, Yahoo and Ask Jeeves are all making impressive advancements with local search, but there is another company that is vying for the local search crown.
InfoSpace, Inc. announced today that the company has extended its agreement with Google in order to provide search results and AdWords ads for InfoSpace’s web search properties. The agreement, which began in September 2002, has been extended until 2006.
