Reddit has unearthed a new one where the weather segment begins after a Depends commercial featuring former NFL defensive tackle Tony Siragusa talking about “guarding your manhood”. Needless to say, the weather guy found the commercial amusing:

We already looked at the Google Glass sketch from Weekend Update, in which Fred Armisen played tech blogger Randall Meeks, trying to convince Seth Meyers that the device is cool, and makes life easier. Spoiler alert: it did neither (though the jury’s still out in real life).

Another one of the most-talked about sketches from the episode features Galifianakis on a game show called “Game of Game of Thrones”.

It seems that not a day goes by that the Internet doesn’t produce some type of Game of Thrones parody, so it’s no surprise to see SNL take on the show. Game of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage actually appeared on Weekend Update a few weeks back.

Tech blogger Randall Meeks (played by Fred Armisen) stops by to show off the device. The skit really seems to be poking more fun at Google’s voice recognition technology than anything. He has a quite bit of trouble getting Google to recognize the Wi-Fi password and the word “Italitan.”

At one point, the device starts playing porn sounds, which Meeks has some trouble muting.

This is certainly not the first time the device has been parodied, but now that it’s in people’s hands, the jokes have made quite the comeback.

One user comments, “Thank you so much op. I have been searching for this video for years.”

Another responds, “Same here. I’ve never seen it before though.”

Well done, Google.

The colorful email caught fire on social media, spawning dramatic recitations of the letter. Perhaps the most famous of these readings is one done by Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon.

With the bad press that Delta Gamma sorority was getting, it was only a matter of time until the young woman responsible for the email was dealt with by the organisation. Now, the person responsible for the email has resigned from the sorority.

The Delta Gamma Facebook page this week posted a notice to its page, stating that the girl has resigned and that the email was not an “official” sorority correspondence. The chapter also emphasized that the tone and content of the email was “highly inappropriate” and “unacceptable.”

Delta Gamma has accepted the resignation of one of its members whose email relating to a social event has been widely distributed and publicized through social media and traditional media channels.

The tone and content of the email was highly inappropriate and unacceptable by any standard.

No matter who released it to the public or how it reached such a mass audience, the email content should not reflect on any sorority woman in general or any fraternal organization at large.

This is a regrettable action by a college junior – a personal email that is now on view for a global audience. And as all reasonable people can agree, this is an email that should never have been sent by its author. Period.

This email should not be depicted in any way as standard or routine or tied to any official sorority voice. It is not an official voice or message and should not be construed as such.

For the young woman who wrote it, we can only express our regret and concerns for landing notoriety in this manner.

Though Delta Gamma may consider the matter closed, the email is likely to make the sorority infamous for years to come.

As expected, these first world problems became the subject of internet ridicule. Now, celebrities are getting in on the action with their own renditions of the letter.

The latest celebrity to try his hand at a dramatic reading of the letter is none other than Michael Shannon. Shannon is known for bringing a grizzled, serious presence to dramas such as HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and movies such as Bug and Take Shelter. He brings that very same gravitas to the sisters of Delta Gamma:
