Geeks are geeks, no matter where they are, and one in Italy turned an interest in Google Earth into a discovery.

Understandably, Microsoft is playing hardball with Google’s countersuit regarding the legitimacy Kai-Fu Lee’s non-compete agreement by working to disallow Google a home field advantage in California court. California laws do not recognize non-compete agreements, which is the basis for the countersuit, and Microsoft has asked that the case be taken up by a federal court instead.

Tuesday night’s SES mixer in San Jose was highly anticipated by most attendees. It was, after all, the Google Dance -being held at the Googleplex no less. At roughly 6:30, the tour busses started to line up outside the main convention center to begin shuttling attendees to the land of the giant. Needless to say, I think everyone went.
