Google has introduced an imagery partner program where people can submit imagery for Google Earth if they feel they have a better version of a shot that Google currently has.

Google Earth Product Manager, Chikai Ohazama writes on the Google Lat Long Blog about how much progress Google Earth has made since 2004.

He mentions the partnerships the imagery team at Google has made with townships, national governments and commercial imagery providers to develop a comprehensive picture of the globe.
