We’ve covered the Radiohead experiment since it started. And as of Monday, the experiment is over. It did give them a lot of press, I’m not so sure it gave them a lot of cash. Normally artists aren’t the best at distribution and marketing, which is why there are middlemen. In every industry I’ve seen this usually serves both sides well.

Free shipping is so nice - you know what you’re getting into from the start, with no surprises at the final checkout screen. The French may see some last-minute additions to their book orders, however, as a court has ruled that Amazon.fr must charge for deliveries.
Google Checkout Extends Free Processing

Google Checkout, Google’s online payment system, is extending its free processing until February 1, 2008.
The promotion was going to end on December 31, 2007. If you’re a Google Adwords customer for every dollar you spend on AdWords, you can process $10 of sales with Google Checkout for free. After that you’ll be charged 2.0% plus $0.20 per transaction no matter what credit card is used. There are no monthly, setup, or gateway fees.
