Facebook Names 25 fbFund Finalists

Earlier today, a report pointed out that the revenue generated by Facebook apps is about equal to what the social networking site itself pulls in. Both businesspeople and ordinary users may be interested to know, then, that 25 Facebook apps and Connect sites have been named fbFund 2009 finalists.

As someone who’s not too fond of Facebook applications, I must say that this development reminds me of Monty Python’s “Upper Class Twit of the Year” sketch. But it’s likely that, by paying people to develop apps, the newly founded fbFund is trying to undo such associations.
