DivX Settles Yahoo Lawsuit

Yahoo may not exactly have come out on top, but it doesn't need to worry about a DivX lawsuit any longer. The two companies have reached a settlement, and it looks like DivX received a considerable sum of money.

We all know that Yahoo's looking to cut costs. Now, according to a new lawsuit filed by DivX, the search company went a little too far and backed out of two-year advertising services agreement. DivX would stop receiving payments as a result.

DivX HD Film Festival

HDFest and DivX announced they are partnering for a DivX HD Film Festival. The HDFest events in New York and London will use DivX HD technology for all playback at the festival. This festival only screens films made only for the high definition format.
