A viral video is one that becomes popular through the process of Internet sharing, via social media, sharing sites, or good ‘ole email. Everyday we highlight some of the best that are currently viral and some that are trending that way.

Today’s videos feature an amazing Who Wants To Be A Millionaire story teller, Michael Winslow doing video games, Unicorns humping dolphins, and the making of a wooden lamp shade.

Is it real? Most signs point to yes, and hopefully it is. Should it have been aired during the Super Bowl? I’ll leave that up to you. Either way, this commercial definitely went the dark comedy route.

Fact: Liam Neeson, throughout this entire segment just sips on his (what is hopefully) scotch, chews on a coffee stirrer; it’s already more badass than full shows on television. Neeson is truly a boss. The rest of the segment is funny too.

Nothing else to say, it’s a video of a scooter going 70mph in the snow.

The stories which led to the answers in Slumdog Millionaire have nothing on Joann Chan from Brooklyn, NY.

This video is proof that we sports fans (I’m self admitted) are some of the dumbest people on the planet. And to the guy who still has his Christmas tree up in February…COME ON MAN.

I definitely empathize with being a synaesthete.

Synaesthesia from Nikko Hull on Vimeo.

What happened to Michael Winslow appearing in films? Yes, he has a one note schtick…but it’s a funny one note schtick. You’re telling me you wouldn’t want him to make a cameo in Hangover III?

Video Games – E3 2012

Now, this commercial should have aired during the Super Bowl. Humping a dolphin, humping a dolphin…get a tattoo!

Who knew watching a wooden lampshade being made would be so interesting and hypnotic…

Samsung has released a new ad making fun of iPhone fans. Entitled “Samsunged” the ad takes a subtle shot at the iPhone’s battery life issues, and picks on the iPhone’s lack of built-in turn-by-turn navigation. It shows a group of would-be iPhone buyers waiting in line outside an Apple store, talking with a hipster (complete with fixed-gear bike) about his Samsung Galaxy S II phone. When they realize that his phone comes with turn-by-turn navigation functionality built in, one of them says “We just got Samsunged.” Yes, “Samsunged.” Check it out for yourself below:

As commercials go, it’s hardly the worst I’ve seen, but it comes across as one of those ads that really wants to be clever but doesn’t quite manage it. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

A viral video is one that becomes popular though the process of Internet sharing, via social media, sharing sites, or good ‘ole email. Everyday we highlight some of the best that are currently viral and some that are trending that way.

Today’s videos feature an awesome Doritos commercial that never graced the television, a gruesome marketing video from Capcom, a six man basketball squad, and a blind man cooking.

As most have been saying upon viewing this video, how did it not win the user-made Superbowl commercial contest last year? It has Unicorn tears.

What I love about this video is watching it with someone who has no idea what it’s from. Kudos, Capcom. Now that’s how you market a product. (It’s a viral vid for their upcoming game, Resident Evil: Revelations)

While there are many aspects of the video which should make you laugh, my eyes couldn’t leave his “According to Jim” t-shirt.

I don’t have anything clever or smarmy to say…it’s SPACEKISSER.

An extremely well made music video, which should leave you amazed at the end. If you’re not amazed, then re-watch.

Youth Lagoon – July from Tyler T Williams on Vimeo.

The video creator visited 17 countries in 343 days, and took 6,237 photographs. The results are beautiful, and completely surreal.

Time is Nothing // Around The World Time Lapse from Kien Lam on Vimeo.

I’m going to go ahead and make the call that this trailer will be better than the Oscars itself.

Now this is how you have a food fight to start the new year. The best part, it took place in Canada.

This strategy should be adopted by all basketball teams, just put six people on the court. No one will notice. As a sad side note, the losing coach lost his job the next day.

I thought these interrogation tactics were illegal under the Geneva code. You know, for being so adorable it hurts.

I really hope the tagline for this movie is “This year, the processing fees won’t be the only thing that kills you“

This one’s for all the people who are still trying to cope with the fact that the Harry Potter movie series is over. I’m sure these people have advice for you.

A pretty cool blind man shows us how he is able to cook on a daily basis. Those George Foreman grills are no joke, I burn myself all the time and I have 20/20.

Whatever your opinion of the Apple brand, it’s hard to ignore the fact their marketing department certainly “gets” how to do commercials correctly. Whether it’s the iPod’s famous silhouette commercials or the “I’m a Mac, and I’m a PC” series, Apple is quite adept at leveraging the television to promote their brand.

Their latest offering comes just in time for the Christmas rush, and instead of concentrating on a particular device, Apple is showing off Siri, the digital personal assistant that operates via vocal commands. Whether it’s looking for old emails or checking the weather in your area, Siri’s capabilities are what’s being promoted here, not the device itself. Sure, you still need an Apple 4S to use Siri — no, I’m not talking about jailbroken iPhones, either — but Siri’s capabilities are what’s on display here, not the phone.

Considering the time of the year, one person in particular has a busy enough schedule to test even Siri’s capable organization skills. I’m talking about, of course, Santa Claus, who’s only a few short days away from embarking on a delivery mission that shames all other delivery services. When was the last time a UPS driver had to make almost 4 billion deliveries in one night? To help Saint Nick along the way is, of course, Apple’s voice-commanded assistant, reminding Santa of his responsibilities, while delivering messages from Mrs. Claus.

Now, if you’re the type who turns into an Ebenezer Scrooge during this time of year, the Siri/Santa commercial is not for you, but if you’re willing to let your heart grow three sizes and enjoy the season, you might find the commercial pretty endearing, even if you’re not an Apple fanboy.

Recently Bing announced a new holiday marketing campaign for its Bing search engine.

The new campaign finds Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and his friends, taking center stage in four separate advertisements for Bing. Each advertisement was done in the same stop-motion puppet animation that was used in the original 1964 TV special, so it will have a nostalgic feel for most.

Check out the advertisements below. Each video is accompanied with the official video description:

“Bumble”, the more beloved name for the Abominable Snow Monster, features the lovable Bumble, who has lost his scary roar. He uses Bing to search for “scary monster” and once inspired by a few Bing Videos, perfects his roar to be appropriately scary again.

Santa and Mrs. Claus get a little crazy in the workshop with bubble wrap, search on Bing Video for bubble wrap how-to’s, and hilarious antics ensue.

Hermey, Yukon and Bumble are tired of the winter weather and are in dire need of a vacation. Bing Travel saves the day via a “fabulous island resort” search, highlighting Hermey’s friends who have “liked” specific resorts, leading to Bing Travel and the perfect destination.

Yukon Cornelius becomes exhausted from pulling Hermey and Rudolph on his sled and collapses in the snow. Luckily, Bing helps him find the closest hot yoga studio using Bing Local.

The holiday season is an opportune time for search engines, as this is when people do more searches – to find gifts, sales ads, party supplies, airfare, and literally anything else. With more people online, this means more ads that can be targeted and displayed by the search engine.

What did you think of the Bing holiday centric advertisements? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Apple has released a new television commercial for thier iPod Touch. The new commercial shows teenagers communicating with friends, playing games, and just having fun. It’s pretty fitting when you consider its entitled “Share The Fun“.

Apple seems to be advertising the iPod Touch to parents of teenagers, as it’s an alternative to smartphones and doesn’t come with the overpriced data plans.

Do you think this new advertisement will entice buyers? Tell us what you think in the comments.

On Thanksgiving Day, during the Lions vs. Packers game, Google aired a commercial for their Google+ social network. The title of the commercial was “Google+: Sharing but like real life”.

The advertisement plays up that it’s different from Facebook, allowing you to organize your family, friends, and random people you know into various Circles. You can check it out below.

What did you think of the commercial? Tell us what you thought below.

Personally, I thought it was a little dry compared to some of their other commercials, like the ones they did for Google Chrome.

It always seems the truly genius ad campaigns are the simple, less-you-have-to-think-the-better ideas. Sony hit their advertising gold with the Kevin Butler PS3 ads, and Nintendo has Robin Williams.

Since this is the 25th anniversary year of the Legend of Zelda, it’s no wonder why Nintendo has gone to such lengths to release so many games. What better spokespeople than Robin Williams, and the daughter he actually named Zelda? The duo conducted the original advertisement a few months ago for the release of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (which looks amazing on the handheld).

The lone commercial has now turned into a multiple ad campaign. With a commercial for the Legend of Zelda: Four Swords game which is a downloadable title for the 3DS.

And the latest commercial, which is for Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Releasing in November for the Nintendo Wii.

As someone who’s been a Legend of Zelda fan since the original, I have fond memories of actually sitting down and playing it with my mom (she was the one who actually beat Ganon). Seeing these commercials brings all the great Legend of Zelda memories back again. Almost can’t wait for the next game release to see some more commercials. Genius.
