Back in March, Chappelle showed up at a New York comedy club and teased a possible joint comedy tour with Chris Rock. This week, the rumors and teasing of Chappelle’s return to comedy are over.

Funny or Die has just announced the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, headlined by none other than Dave Chappelle. The comedy tour will also feature Al Madrigal, Demetri Martin, Hannibal Buress, Kristin Schaal, and Flight of the Conchords. A second stage with even more comedic performances will be at the shows, hosted by Brody Stevens.

The tour will run from August 23 until September 20 and will be hitting major U.S. locations such as New York, Dallas, Chicago, Austin, and Boston. Tickets for the events will be up for sale on Friday.

Hodgman appeared on the CNET podcast The 404 today to discuss the special.

The special will be released on June 30th.

Now that Netflix has the ball rolling with exclusive content, there seem to be no signs of the company letting up. It has a significant head start at this point, over competitors like Amazon, which just greenlit its first original shows last week. Last week, Netflix launched an original documentary, Art of Conflict.

During a Google Talk from last week, the cast and director of This Is The End stopped by Google to talk about the movie. Specifically, Seth Rogen, Craig Robertson and Evan Goldberg answered questions about what it’s like to essentially play themselves in an apocalyptic setting.

Hader and Meyers are two of the biggest catalysts in the show’s success, and to see them go will mean the producers will have to lean heavily on the talents of newcomers, especially with rumors floating that Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis will be leaving soon as well.

But some think that a large cast rotation is a good thing, judging by past events. It might make room for a fresh crop of hungry talent, and that could be just what the show needs.

This past weekend’s show was the last for Hader, who says it was bittersweet.

“It was a hard decision, but it has to happen at some point,” Hader said. “It got to a point where I said, ‘Maybe it’s just time to go.’”

“You may know me for being the most muscular man in the world, or maybe for being the action star that kills a bunch of bad buys and predators, but what you didn’t know was that I’m a big fan of comedy,” he says.

Predictably, he also turns out to be a Terminator.

YouTube Comedy Week will include: The Lonely Island, Vince Vaughn, Epic Rap Battles of History, Tim & Eric, Seth Rogen, Key and Peele, Colllege Humor, Reggie Watts, Smosh, Jenna Marbles, Michael Cera, Grace Helbig, Epic Meal Time, Lil Bub, Jash, Pete Holmes, Craig Robinson, Rainn Wilson, Jeff Ross, Sarah Silverman, and Ben Stiller, to name a few. There will be new comedy videos, live events, and “fan challenges”.

As a major part of the show’s success before leaving in 2011, it seemed like a given that Steve Carell would return to reprise his role as ineffectual manager Michael Scott. However, last week The Office Executive Producer Greg Daniels stated that Carell will not be a part of the show, saying that Carell felt it wouldn’t fit the character.

Now, however, the rumor of Carell’s return is back, despite the denial. TVLine is reporting that Daniels’ statement was a ruse, and that Michael Scott will, in fact, be making a cameo in the final episode of The Office. The publication’s unnamed sources have stated that his appearance in the episode will be very brief.

It seems only fitting that Carell should be seen in the series’ finale. His character was one of the most important on the show, a linchpin that held The Office together. Despite Will Ferrell coming on as the big-name replacement for Carell in the show’s seventh season, ratings for The Office have fallen since the departure of Michael Scott.

We already looked at the Google Glass sketch from Weekend Update, in which Fred Armisen played tech blogger Randall Meeks, trying to convince Seth Meyers that the device is cool, and makes life easier. Spoiler alert: it did neither (though the jury’s still out in real life).

Another one of the most-talked about sketches from the episode features Galifianakis on a game show called “Game of Game of Thrones”.

It seems that not a day goes by that the Internet doesn’t produce some type of Game of Thrones parody, so it’s no surprise to see SNL take on the show. Game of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage actually appeared on Weekend Update a few weeks back.

Comedy Central had decided not to renew Futurama for another season, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly. The show’s final 13 episodes will begin airing on June 19 and run until September 4.

Futurama originally aired on network TV channel Fox from 1999 until 2003. The series was created by Simpsons creator Matt Groening, along with producer David Cohen. The show won many awards during its run, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program for the episode “Roswell That Ends Well.” The show was cancelled by Fox and aired in syndication until 2007, when the first of four direct-to-video Futurama movies was released. In 2010, Comedy Central began airing all-new episodes of Futurama.

Groening told Entertainment Weekly that Futurama producers are waiting to see the reaction from fans while considering moving the show to a new home. He stated that it would “be a shame if we all went our separate ways.”

“I felt like we were already in the bonus round on these last couple of seasons, so I can’t say I was devastated by the news,” Cohen said to Entertainment Weekly. “It was what I had expected two years earlier. At this point I keep a suitcase by my office door so I can be cancelled at a moment’s notice.

“As I said three times before, this is definitely the absolute end of the show. I don’t know why nobody believes me when I say that.”

Vaughn didn’t appear in the sketch, however, which came as part of “Weekend Update”. Kenan Thompson played LL Cool J, and Jason Sudeikis played Paisley. Most of the sketch is simply their attempt at defending the song, which has drawn a great amount of controversy and ridicule, but they did, of course, offer some new lyrics.

For example, Thompson’s Cool J offers, “If you think NCIS is good, I’ll forget the Aryan Brotherhood.”

In case you haven’t heard the actual song, one of the real lyrics is: “If you don’t judge my gold chains, I’ll forget the iron chains.”
