It’s not exactly the first place fans think of for engaging with celebrities either typically (unless perhaps they’re trying to engage with Wil Wheaton or look at photos of Hugh Jackman).

Some celebrities just rehash the stuff they’re sharing on Facebook or Twitter. That doesn’t go for Rose McGowan. I think it’s safe to say she’s an active Google+ user – one of the 390 million Google boasted this week as it launched a slew of new features.

If you want to see McGowan showing off her “fish face,” you’re going to have an easier time finding it on Google+ than you are on Facebook or Twitter.

“There was a bit of a scandal with the first billboards,” says Hewitt. “There was another one of me laying down in nude sort of bra and panties, and everybody loved it, watched the show…everybody was happy. There was one group of people who apparently were offended by the billboard, and were not into it….We still don’t know who it was. It happened in a magazine, but we don’t know who did the actual fixing of the photo, but they didn’t ask anybody if they could do it. They covered me up, and they actually made me like a cup and a half size smaller, and then covered everything.”

Conan noted that this was “un-American”.

Hewitt mentioned that nearby was a billboard of David Beckham in his underwear. “Like couldn’t have had a bigger situation in that billboard,” she said, “And he’s out there like ‘Hello!’…I had to have smaller boobs. It was very strange.”

Yahoo users in the country are apparently quite thirsty for info about the celebrity prince’s trip.

“Prince Harry visited the US and searches spiked 234% for the eligible prince,” Yahoo said in an email. “62% of searches for [prince harry] came from females!”

“Prince Harry’s visit to Arlington caused searches to spike more than 660%, we are likely to see searches for Prince Harry’s last name, he signed a note he left at an Arlington grave ‘Harry Wales,’”, Yahoo said. “People want to know more about the prince and searches for [how tall is prince harry], [prince harry girlfriend] and [prince harry last name] are all spiking.”

“The prince’s sister-in-law Kate Middleton is getting lots of buzz this week,” Yahoo added. “She gets nearly double the searches of Prince Harry today on Yahoo! but Harry gets nearly 5X more searches than Prince William on Yahoo!.”

According to CNN, Harry “really started enjoying his US tour over the weekend. He was at the Warrior Games, which combines two of his great passions: sport and the support of war veterans.”

Some comments he made about Facebook have been attracting some attention in the days since.

When interviewer Darren Franich asked Diesel what he attributes his large Facebook following to, he responded, “Did you ever see the movie Social Network? Do you remember what they said the reason was to make Facebook?”

To which Franich replied, “To meet girls?”

“YOU GOT IT!” said Diesel. “And when they made the movie, nobody had a million fans. They were promoting it, like, ‘We came up with a new way for people to check marital status.’ That’s not what Facebook was. That’s not why Facebook would be successful. No one gives a s— about people’s marital status. That’s as dated as MySpace! What Facebook didn’t realize is something very big was about to happen, and that was — for the first time in history, and it’s kind of a fluke they didn’t see this coming — when I jumped on that page in April 2009, I started talking to people. In the realest ways. Imagine if you could’ve been a Facebook friend to Marlon Brando, or whoever your role models are. Imagine, if you were able to Facebook Elvis, and talk to him, and hear from him without the Hollywood of it all. That was the Fast & Furious experience.”

Diesel said when he started his page, the only person who had a million fans was Barack Obama. It was the first quarter of 2009, just after the President’s inauguration.

“Facebook used to ask me to come up to their office to explain what the f— I was doing, and why I had so many fans. What was unique was: I never let anyone do a post, I never let anyone post for me in the last four years. My audience knows me so well on the page that if my producing partner’s in the room when I post, they’ll know somebody was around me. That’s kind of cool, that’s how sophisticated they are. Facebook really owes me billions of dollars. But whatever.”

It’s certainly worth noting, as indicated in the interview, that Diesel was laughing when he said that.

In 2013, Vin Diesel is still having fun with Facebook fans. For Valentine’s Day, he covered Rihanna’s “Stay” as a gift to them.

The 40-year old actress attended the ball in a long-sleeved pink Valentino gown and said that the evening was too hot for her to enjoy herself.

“I’m never going again,” she said. “It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all.”

Of course, that could have been avoided had she chosen a dress that was more appropriate for the weather, but she apparently had her own agenda. Whatever it was, it didn’t include being like everyone else, because she admitted to ignoring this year’s couture/punk theme. Perhaps she just didn’t want a repeat of her wardrobe mishap at the premiere of “Iron Man 3″.

Machado was an eight-time Emmy award winner, and in 1970, became the first Chinese-American on-air TV news reporter and anchor in LA, an possibly in the U.S.

He was so good at his job that the movie industry couldn’t get enough of using him as a reporter. He appeared in all three Robocop films as anchor Casey Wong. Here’s a compilation of Robocop news reports:

Machado was seventy-eight years old. According to a statement from his daughter, he died from complications of pneumonia, and had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

He was born in Shanghai in 1935, and emigrated to the U.S. in 1956. He became a U.S. citizen in 1965.

He got is start in the reporting business at local Los Angeles news stations like KCBS and KNXT. He also hosted medical investigation show Medix.

In addition to his Emmy awards, he won the Howard Blakeslee Award, San Francisco’s Interceptor Award, and was even named honorary mayor of Granada Hills for eight years. He was also named LA Commissioner of Cultural Affairs. In 1983, Mayor Benjamin Norton proclaimed December 4, Mario Machado Day.
