Netflix has been going all out to promote season four of Arrested Development. One of the better promotions is the “Insert Me Anywhere” where fans can place Tobias Funke in any scene they want. Capcom took this to its logical conclusion by placing Tobias in a variety of its classic and modern games.

I think that a variety of games, not just from Capcom, could benefit from a little Funke.

Going against the recent trend of third-party developers skipping out on the Wii U, Capcom has decided to bring its HD remake of Resident Evil Revelations to Nintendo’s struggling console. The publisher/developer is going above and beyond the call of duty as well with some unique Gamepad and Miiverse integration.

The latest trailer for Resident Evil Revelations shows how players will be using the Wii U Gamepad. As expected, many of the features were ripped straight from original 3DS version of the title with the bottom screen acting as a map and weapon quick select menu.

The Wii U version of Resident Evil Revelations will also include Miiverse integration. Monsters will have speech bubbles above their heads featuring messages from other players. You will also see Miiverse posts from players who have died in the same spot as you.

Resident Evil Revelations will be out on May 21 for the Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Last week, Capcom release a multiplayer trailer for the upcoming Lost Planet 3. Today, Capcom has released an even longer look at the multiplayer of Lost Planet 3. In the new video, Lost Planet 3 Producer Andrew Szymanski talks about what players can expect with each of the new multiplayer modes added to the game.

Both the trailer and this new video have revealed two new Lost Planet multiplayer modes – Scenario and Akrid Survival.

Scenario puts a team up against offensive or defensive challenges that they can face in either third-person or first-person modes. Akrid Survival puts two teams up against several waves of Akrid before pitting them against each other.

Resident Evil has seemingly lost its way. Resident Evil 4 started the move away from true survival horror, but the next two installments pretty much did away with it entirely. A side story in the series got it right, however, and the developers are now discussing why that is.

In a developer diary released today, the developers of Resident Evil: Revelations discuss the horror elements of the title and how the game is thematically similar to the older titles in the franchise. Capcom has said that Revelations’ reception will decide the future of the series, but the team seems confident that it can create a horror experience that will satisfy longtime fans without sacrificing the action set pieces that newer fans want.

It will be interesting to see if Capcom returns to more horror-themed Resident Evil titles, especially after the series creator, Shinji Mikami, has announced that he’s returning to survival horror with Bethesda’s The Evil Within.

Resident Evil: Revelations will launch across the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on May 21.

At the beginning of this generation, Capcom was incredibly aggressive with new IPs like Dead Rising and Lost Planet. The former seems to have slowly died out, but the latter will be getting a new installment later this year.

Capcom revealed today that Lost Planet 3 will have four multiplayer modes that challenge players to go toe-to-toe with each other or the giant bug-like Akrid that roam the icy wastes of the planet. Two of the modes – Scenario Mode and Akrid Survival – were detailed today:

Scenario Mode sets each team with a series of either offensive or defensive challenges and mixes them up with the extreme and unpredictable conditions of E.D.N. III. Players can compete in both third-person on-foot action and in first-person combat using Vital Suits, a futuristic staple of the LP series.

Akrid Survival sees two teams of three players compete independently of each other in a series of encounters against waves of hostile Akrid before the teams go head to head in a final PvP elimination round.

It looks decent so far, but developer Spark Unlimited’s past endeavors do not inspire confidence. Remember, these are the guys behind Legendary and Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for something worse than Duke Nukem Forever.

Lost Planet 3 launches August 27 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, the expansion to last year’s criminally underrated RPG, launches today.
The launch trailer for Dark Arisen doesn’t show us anything that we haven’t seen already, but it does show us more. We get a good look at the new bosses that populate Bitter Black Isle as well as the new enemy types that will no doubt kill players again and again.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is available in North America today, and will launch in Europe on April 26. We can only hope that it finds the audience that it so rightly deserves this time around.

DuckTales is fondly remembered as one of the few licensed games that actually got it right. The perfect platforming and the amazing music have inspired countless gamers the world over. Now the classic is coming back and it looks better than ever.

Capcom announced today at PAX East that it’s working together with Disney and developer WayForward to bring DuckTales back to current gen consoles. The game is being billed as a remake of the original NES title, but WayForward will be adding much more to the game. One of the additions is a recreation of Scrooge McDuck’s money vault that players will be able to swim in.

Check out the first gameplay footage below and be prepared to get the DuckTales them stuck in your head all over again:

DuckTales Remastered will be available this summer on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, Nintendo eShop and PC for $14.99.

In other classic gaming goodness, Capcom will also be bringing two classic Dungeons & Dragons arcade titles to XBLA, PSN, PC and the Nintendo eShop later this year:

Last year’s disappointing Resident Evil 6 is hoping to find new life on the PC later this month. Part of that revival comes in the form of “No Mercy,” a new multiplayer mode exclusive to the PC version. What’s even more surprising is that Valve is bringing the cast of Left 4 Dead 2 to this mode.

Capcom announced today that Resident Evil 6 players will be able to play as Coach, Ellis, Rochelle and Nick in the exclusive mode. To up the ante even more, Capcom is also bringing two enemies from Left 4 Dead 2 to this mode – the Witch and the Mini-Tank.

As part of the working relationship between Capcom and Valve, the former will be bringing enemies from Resident Evil 6 to Left 4 Dead 2. Capcom is also calling on fans to put the human cast of Resident Evil 6 into Left 4 Dead 2.

The new characters are a nice love letter to the PC fans of both Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead. The new “No Mercy” mode sounds incredibly fun as well. The only disappointment is that the PC version still won’t fix Resident Evil 6′s boring, and lackluster, singleplayer campaign.

After teasing gamers with previews of the game for months, Capcom today finally announced a release date for Remember Me. The game will launch in North America on June 4 and in Europe on June 7. It will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, which has, as of now, the same release date as the console versions.

Remember Me is an upcoming cyberpunk game set in a futuristic Neo-Paris, the year 2084. Players will take on the role of Nilin, a “memory hunter” who can break into people’s minds and steal or alter memories. The game will also feature some tall building climbing and combat against a varied assortment of enemies. The combat show seems to resemble the Batman: Arkham style of third-person fighting, but the game also features a “Combo Lab” where Nilin’s combos can be altered to suit particular play styles.

The new release date trailer unveiled by Capcom today shows many of these details, along with a hint of what the game’s story will contain:
