More Schools To Make Friends With Google?

Google is poised to gain yet another (small) foothold in the American educational system - Georgetown University may adopt the company's Apps for Education. The college hopes to have a new e-mail system in place by next fall, so the change could take place relatively soon.

Google took another step toward the company's stated goal of indexing the world's information by adding the entire collection of public domain historical resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Wisconsin Historical Society Library to its Google Books Library Project.
Blackboard Partners With Google, SAP

Blackboards are being phased out - whiteboards are the standard teaching tool in classrooms these days. The Blackboard company is keeping up with the times, though, and making powerful friends. Earlier this morning, Blackboard announced new "partner initiatives" with Google, and yesterday, it formed a "global agreement" with SAP.
