A service first provided by Microsoft in its Windows 98 operating system, Internet Connection sharing is meant to allow a single Internet connection to be shared amongst multiple computers on a small network with minimal configuration. In Windows 2000, ICS is implemented via the actual sharing of a network interface, which has a real’ IP address, either via a dial-up or fixed network connection. It is important to remember that ICS (which is available in both Windows 2000 Professional and Server) is mainly meant as a solution for small and home offices, and not larger enterprise environments.
You might remember an ad campaign in which a woman approaches a soft drink vending machine alongside a young male executive. The executive rummages through his pants pocket to find, to his dismay, that he has no change to purchase a cool drink on a hot afternoon. The woman then pulls out her cell phone, presses a few buttons, and a soda can drops down from the vending machine. The ad was meant to show a future of a seamless, interactive world. The SIM Access Profile, released by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), makes such transactions a reality, allowing a consumer to use a cellular device to obtain, for example, a 50-cent soft drink without spending 25 cents on a cell phone airtime charge.

Some people might tell you that the statistics you see on your television screens of live sports telecasts are recorded by actual reporters at the sports events as the games are being played. Let me tell you something! Those people haven’t the faintest idea of what they are talking about! The truth is that there are gremlins, which live in your television and they are the ones that go about updating that scoreboard as you continue to watch the game (seriously!). It is
the truth and it is has worked wonders in eradicating the gremlin unemployment problem (when was the last time you saw an unemployed gremlin?).
The primary aim of this tutorial is to demonstrate how to execute an SQL command within an Active Server Page and display the results in an HTML table.

Many people have cancelled their subscriptions with their current ISP in favor of free internet access. But should you cancel your current service right away and replace it with free internet access? No.
Have you ever used free internet service access and found them to be slower, or have “sluggish downloads”? Though the Internet as a whole can suffer from slowdowns that will affect you no matter who your ISP is, your ISP actually plays a large role in how fast you can view web pages.
Unfortunately, we have been unable to locate a major free ISP that supports Linux. Freewwweb used to be supported by almost all operating systems because it operated without the need for software, but they recently merged with Juno which does not support Linux at this time. Netzero is working on a Linux version as per a recent announcement, but it might not be ready for some time.
