  • Stevie Nicks has already expressed her deep admiration for the HBO hit fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones.

Now, she’s revealed that she desires to go beyond the realm of simple viewership.

In a recent interview with the U.K.’s Radio Times magazine, the Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter revealed that she would actually love to write for the hit series.

“I would love to write some music for the show. I’ve written a bunch of poetry about it — one for each of the characters,” Nicks said. “I’m always looking for that kind of inspiration, and I’m very inspired by the show — as I was very inspired by ‘Twilight.'”

She also shed light on what prompted her personal admiration for the show, revealing that she began tuning in following her mother’s death. “I didn’t leave the house for almost five months. And then I got pneumonia. With my pneumonia and my mother’s death, I watched the entire first season of ‘Game of Thrones.’ That certainly took my mind off everything.”

Games of Thrones premiered on HBO in April of 2011. The show, which the publication refers to as a “real-life phenomenon,” has garnered mainstream success, averaging approximately 11.6 million viewers per episode, making it the second-most viewed series in HBO history.

Based off the epic fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, the HBO colossal production has also garnered numerous accolades including a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Drama Series for all three seasons, a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, and a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Television Series – Drama.

Game of Thrones is just about ready to begin its fourth season, which is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, April 6, 2014.
