It’s been 17 years since the five prime members of Fleetwood Mac went on tour together. That will all change this fall when the classic rock band plans to hit the road for a reunion tour they’re calling, “On With the Show.”

Although Stevie Nicks has teamed up with different members of the band over the past two decades, Christine McVie hasn’t toured with Fleetwood Mac in 15 years. Guitarist Lindsey Buckingham recently said, “It’s like she never left.”

McVie joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970. She played keyboards and also sang. Additionally, she wrote several of the band’s most popular hits including Don’t Stop, Everywhere and Little Lies.

McVie, 70, said that she stopped touring with the band because of her fear of flying and hasn’t flown in 15 years. She’s a bit worried about the possible rust but doesn’t think it will be a factor, “There were times I didn’t touch a piano for months. There were dry spells, but I’m not worried about it. The chemistry is great. Obviously, I’ve got to relearn all those songs to get my muscle memory working.”

We could also hear some new tunes on the upcoming tour. The band is even working on a possible new album. Buckingham likes what he’s heard so far. “We’ve only been in the studio a week, and it’s been really beautiful. I have very high hopes for all of this. It took getting into the studio before we started to see things unfold in an effective and comfortable way. Christine was not sure how her voice was going to be. It will be a little bit of a slow process with her piano chops. But all the stuff inside her is still intact, and she’s getting in touch with a process that’s been lying dormant for a while.”

The tour kicks off in Minneapolis on September 30. Tickets go on sale on April 7. Here’s a complete list of all the dates.
