Search Plus Your World: Page Reportedly Tells Googlers To Work Elsewhere If They Don’t Like It

If you work at Google, and you have a problem with Google’s “Search Plus Your World” features, you can find another place to work. Perhaps Facebook. That seems to be popular destination for former Googlers.

Google CEO Larry Page, according to a report from PandoDaily, told employees at a staff event:

“This is the path we’re headed down – a single unified, ‘beautiful’ product across everything. If you don’t get that, then you should probably work somewhere else.”

Apparently some of them are in fact looking to do just that. Sarah Lacy says she’s heard from several employees that they’re “embarrassed and unhappy”. She also points to this tweet from Chris Sacca, which says a lot:

PATH… A way or track laid down for walking or made by continual treading. Who is leading them down the path? What is he treading on?

UNIFIED.. Being or joined into a single entity??

God help the old days pensioners and disabled as they need protection too when useing Google for medical reaserch in order to further there knowledge what doctors fail to provide.
Also guidence on the law of protection for the elderly. what next paying for the air we breath.

Google now requires that new Google accounts sign up for Google Plus which requires a real name; Google is essentially telling you that you have to use a real name no matter which Google product you use. Their pseudonyms are only for celebrities like Snoop Dogg and big following bloggers that rag on Google for their pseudonym policy. This breaks Google just like if Apple were to allow only apps downloaded from Mac App Store would break OS X or if Microsoft were to lock down EFI PCs running Windows 8 so that they couldn’t dual boot Linux would break Windows. I can’t believe it but Google is breaking Google.
