The major players in online search will have a presence when the Search Engine Strategies conference opens on Tuesday in New York.

Alphaville may be one way to describe the setting for SES New York, which kicks off April 10th. The Alphas in search led by the BMOC, Google, all have plans to make their presence known when search industry pros and interested entrepreneurs make their way to the Big Apple.

Microsoft gets a headliner spot as its Windows Live chief, Steve Berkowitz, keynotes the conference. Berkowitz, the one-time head of Ask.com, will chat with Danny Sullivan onstage about Microsoft and its search strategies.

Ask will be there again as a big sponsor; we wonder if there will be any sparks if Berkowitz and the Ask crew bump into each other in the hallways of the Hilton New York. Ask will have a sizable

A handful of Googlers will be on hand for the conference. Vanessa Fox will be among them, who our readers should remember from the video interview we produced with her and Rand Fishkin last year in Chicago.

Yahoo’s Publisher Network crew will be part of several sessions during the conference. Their must-see event will be when new Yahoo click fraud czar Reggie Davis participates in a panel on the topic of Auditing Paid Listings & Click Fraud Issues.
