Intelligent Enterprise Magazine has named Sovereign’s implementation of Salesnet’s on-demand CRM software a RealWare Awards finalist.

Now in its 12th year, the annual RealWare awards recognize outstanding customer IT applications that meet strategic business objectives and deliver a measurable return on investment (ROI). Sovereign was specifically recognized for the outstanding results it has experienced since deploying Salesnet in 2002, including the creation of a unified foundation for sales and cash management processes leading to a tangible increase of cross- and up-sell opportunities.

“The RealWare Awards judge enterprise applications on their true valor, where they matter most–in practice,” said John Siefert, Associate Publisher of Intelligent Enterprise and National Director of the Network Computing EAG. “Business Application Strategists need to know why an application will add value and how that application can be integrated into their existing IT architecture –RealWare finalists, like Sovereign Bank and Salesnet, have proven there solutions achieve these requirements.”

During 2004, Salesnet has received more recognition based exclusively on customer success stories than any other on-demand CRM vendor. In addition to the most recent RealWare Awards, Salesnet’s customers have been singled out throughout 2004 for the tangible results they’ve achieved, receiving recognition from key industry outlets including Customer Inter@ction Solutions Magazine, Open Systems Advisors (OSA), and Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine. Sovereign’s Salesnet deployment was also selected by Aberdeen Group as one of the Top Ten CRM Implementations of 2003.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by Intelligent Enterprise Magazine for our Salesnet implementation,” said Bill Patten, Director of Sales and Policy Administration at Sovereign Bancorp. “As a financial institution, it was critical that we select a CRM solution with the capability to grow and adapt to our dynamic business processes. Salesnet plays a critical role in helping us ensure that our account management best practices are reinforced continually so that we are able to anticipate the needs of our customers and respond rapidly to their requests.”

Exclusive to Salesnet’s on-demand CRM application is its patent-pending workflow technology that defines a sales methodology, then guides and tracks users through the best practices for sales. With Salesnet, each sales activity is mapped in the application and linked to detailed outcome and result gates that manage the progress between activities.

“We congratulate Sovereign Bank on their recognition and are committed to helping them further achieve success with their CRM solution through 2005 and beyond,” said Alan Goldsworthy, Chief Executive at Salesnet. “Enterprises like Sovereign fully embrace Salesnet as a solution that offers a unique workflow-based approach with the depth of sales functionality to fully define a blueprint for sales success. It’s what makes us compete differently in the market, and it’s why enterprises that use Salesnet continually achieve results.”
