  • On Father’s Day, a fan account on Facebook posted a picture of Ryan Gosling holding a baby. The caption tells the story of how Gosling adopted a friend’s baby.

The picture was accompanied by a post that explained how Gosling became a father. “This little guy was only 9 months old when I became his dad. His mom and I were great friends before she passed away from cancer. I promised her, I’d always look after him. So, I had decided to step up and become his dad.”

The post also said that the biological father of the baby wanted custody of the child, and Gosling put up a fight, but lost to the father.

Fans of Gosling, 33, gushed. The post with the baby made them love Gosling even more. Nearly a million Facebook users liked the picture, more than 50,000 shared the post, and most of them thought that the post was real.

One Facebook user wrote “Man… he just made every woman’s ovaries explode.” Another user said, “Makes me love him even more.”

The account where the picture was posted was unofficial. There was also a link to a Young, Wild, and Free T-shirt contest where users who enter can get a chance to win a day with Gosling.  Other users also said that they have seen a similar post on Bradley Cooper’s page.

Gosling is still in a relationship with actress Eva Mendes. They have been dating since 2011. And although Gosling does not have a child, women might find comfort knowing that he owns a dog named George. In an interview, Gosling said, “George is way more interesting than I am.”

“Normally, I take him everywhere, I have special paperwork so he can travel with me wherever I go. Can we just talk about George?” he said.
