Most of us have experienced being on the road with someone who is either angry or in a hurry and tails and/or harasses you in some way.

Heck, many of us have been guilty of “road rage” ourselves a time or two, but this woman who experienced a dose of rage on a Florida highway got it all on video. A YouTube video which has gone viral as of noon Friday, with over four million views.

According to the video, the offending driver had being tailgating for quite some time in a big truck, making this videographer quite uncomfortable.

The offended driver, going by the username Florida Driver on YouTube, said that she’d been tailed by the truck driver for three minutes.

According to the “Florida Driver” after the incident and being flipped off as he brazenly drove past her, she got to see “instant karma” happen right before her eyes — and she caught it on camera.

“After about a minute, and me shaking my head, I pulled out my phone and started recording. I couldn’t move over because there were trucks in the right lane, and I sure as heck wasn’t going to speed on a rainy day with the roads being as slick as they were. I was turning left in about a half-mile when this happened,” the driver wrote.

“Now bear in mind, that this guy had already passed a truck in a left turn lane, was tailgating and driving recklessly on a wet slick road, wasn’t paying attention, and all in all being an ignorant [a**]. In the full video which I will post later, you will be able to see that not once was I mouthing off, I never brake checked him, and in fact until I watched the video after the accident I didn’t even know he shot a bird at me because I wasn’t looking at him at all, I was paying attention to the road while holding the phone up with my right hand,” the driver continued.

Just after the man driving the black Ford pickup truck passed this driver and changed lanes, he lost control and spun out into a grassy median.

“That’s what you get,” the woman filming yelled as she laughed. Now to some, that might appear controversial to laugh at someone who has just been in an accident, however, it was apparent the driver in the crash wasn’t seriously injured. According to “Florida Driver” he fled the scene, however with her trusty video, police were able to identify and charge him.

“This moron could have easily killed somebody with his moronic behavior, and my laughing at the end would have been replaced with tears. Needless to say though, I’ve never seen Karma come back so fast,” the videographer wrote.

The driver taking the video was in the wrong. When driving the left lane is for passing, slower traffic belongs in the right lane. While losing your temper while behind the wheel is not acceptable, people who drive and do not comply with the rules of the road cause far to many accidents. Driving in the left lane, even if you are just doing the speed limit, with faster traffic approaching is called obstructing traffic and can be cited.

Wow lol blame the lady because the guy is raging; it doesn’t matter if she’s not following road rules (it was raining, would you do the same?)…what he was doing is dangerous. Seriously.

  • disqus_bax6apv5FZ

Two fools on the road. She didn’t need to “brakecheck him”,just slow down and get behind the trucks and let the jerk pass.Watching the white lines pass,I don’t think they were going that fast at the time anyhow. I despise anyone that has their phone out for any reason on the road as well as jerkheads like the guy. Both can kill ya’.He did get his just reward.

    • Hunter

If you read the story, which it sounds like you didn’t, she never brake-checked him.

      • disqus_bax6apv5FZ

Sounds like you didn’t read my note.I never said she brakechecked him.I said she could have just slowed down and let the trucks on her right side go by.I said just slow down.

    • brando

She didn’t need to, and she didn’t.

      • disqus_bax6apv5FZ

I know she didn’t need to and she didn’t. I don’t think you would be seeing the video and listening to her laugh if the guy had flipped the truck and killed himself. I myself have made a few ammends for creeps like him, don’t like it but no ones had an accident on account of me screwing around like this getting my photo-ops.And I truly am one of the few that has driven millions of miles.(And that’s not a misprint)

  • spur

The person doing the filming and riving too slow in the video is the one to blame by instigating the wreck thus causing he accident,.In NC the ticket nad charges would be upon the person doing the filming, The guy in the truck has right to sue

    • Hunter

Wow you are dumb. While I agree that the driver should have moved from the left lane, saying that the other driver can sue is just about the dumbest thing I’ve heard in a long, long time. I hope for the sake of all humanity that you are not breeding.

      • AJo

Why can’s the other driver sue. You better believe a lawyer can find a case in this matter. It doesn’t mean he will win. But certainly he can file a lawsuit.

      • Rooster

Hunter you are the idiot that should not breed, this dumb c(u)nt filming instigated the whole thing, she should have just moved over and let him pass. That kind of shi(t is what gets people shot. On top of that she should be fined for using her cell phone while driving.

        • Hulkster

You have quite the voluminous vocabulary “rooster.” First off she was in the lane she would be turning from in a very short time. Secondly, filming the idiot was fine by the cops as it lead to the arrest of the road-rager!

          • Rooster

Hulkster you too have proven your “voluminous” stupidity, as I said, this dumb c(u)nt filming instigated the whole thing, she should have just moved over and let him pass. She had plenty of time to move over and then move back to make her turn, and to top it off you can see the dumb wench speed up when he tries to get past her. Karma will find her as well!

  • klunkerboy

To it clearly looked like she could have pulled over to right to let him by, and there looked to be sections where he simply could have gone around her, but when unstoppable a-hole meets immovable selfrightiousness, this is the results, in scale of a-holiness the truck probably wins, but the driver with the camera, really bright idea to drive while recording while claiming there driving because the roads are wet and slick, is far from having clean hands here.

  • Rob37

Videographer no doubt egged this on.

  • Steve Jones

    Two morons caught on tape.

  • JT

I guess a lot of people missed where she said she was turning left in a half mile. Why would she get over and then change lanes again. Both are in the wrong, but the jacka$$ got what he deserved.

    • Steve Jones

One doesn’t need to get in the left lane a half mile in advance to make a turn. She clearly goes more than a mile in the video also.

      • Woodrow J Wingo III

Any responsible driver would be in the correct lane more than a mile before turning to that side. If they wait less than that then the lane they need might be occupied. Accidents can happen if they wait less than 1/2 mile. OHHH wait I guess that dont apply for some people – look at Atlanta – They wait 50 ft to cross 3 busy lanes to take an exit on I285 /// and to answer before you ask ….. I am a 16 year truck driver that has drivin in 48 states and Canada

        • Steve Jones

Sorry but it’s ridiculous to think that you need to be in the left hand lane a half mile before you turn left. Camping out in the left hand lane in traffic impeding vehicles ability to pass is more dangerous.

    • Sean

In commercial traffic lanes, there IS NO fast-lane. she at no point needed to get over to allow traffic to pass. driving slower in rain is what most drivers do, so she is exonerated there, as well. The two things she did wrong was videotape the incident, and not doing whatever she could to avoid aggression with the other driver by taking an earlier left.

  • Mike B

People with big trucks – your truck is not a race car, its a giant piece of heavy machinery that is not made for high speed maneuvering and certainly can not brake as fast as any vehicle that is smaller and / or lighter. This is why you don’t drive your damn truck like it is a ferrari. Drive it like it is a big heavy truck.

Slow / self righteous speed limit freaks – stay out of the left lane, you are only being an a$$ yourself, and are only proving you are an a$$.

    • culcune

Perfectly said–both wrongs don’t make a right for either, but the guy driving the Mustang GT Pickup did some extra wrongs which made for some great video!

  • brando

That’ll teach him. Well, probably not. If I were her I would have stopped and given him a stern lecture about manners.

  • Rick Dombek

dumb ass is camped in left lane, move the f over and you don’t have problem fool

  • Woodrow J Wingo III

I hate how they say big truck – I am a truck driver and that idiot is in a big pickup – 2 totally different vehicles – news people make it worse on truckers because of stuff like that (when we are not the ones to blame)

  • brando

    People still film in portrait?

    • vocabbbbb

People still say film when they mean record?

  • winkwink123

Both people to blame, the lady for pissing the guy off for no apparent reason, and the guy for flicking her off and RAIGING. I have no problem for that except he ****ING CRASHED!!!! Thats was still a LOL and WTF video. xD

  • Richie Ballad

1st off you still have to do the speed limit in the passing lane regardless of what the lane is used for. The speed limit remains the same in both lanes. 2nd the lady used a camera on the phone, it was not used for talking or texting. she probably should have used better judgement and pulled off the side of the road and 3rd the man was 100 percent, he was speeding, acting reckless and tailgating. he should of just passed when he had the chance and kept going instead of showboating. The fact that he left the scene makes me wonder if he was inebriated to sober up. it was a dumb act but both lived.

  • lindy west

This is extremely dangerous on all points. Nobody should be taking the extremes that these two took, they are lucky they both did not kill themselves. And laughing at someone who has just possibly totaled their car, not to mention serious injury, is not cute, Road rage can be deadly.

  • Ann Betz

First of all, we all like to think there is a fast lane and all should get out the way. There is an upside and downside to the tape. If I had someone behind me raising all manners of h*** I would take out my phone and tape it in case I became someone who ended up full of gun shot wounds. Let’s face it, this is a dangerous world these days.
She should not be faulted for her fear. She protected herself with that video. If she was going the speed limit, the lane does not matter. It was more than obvious that truck was going much to fast. He should be happy because if he had not wrecked, I am sure, down the road he would of gotten a ticket. The police said there was no fast lane or slow lane problem. The police also stated she would not be charged for the video. There are exceptions to many laws being in fear of your life at one point over an individual acting in the manner he was acting must be one. Maybe look that up and let us know. TY Ann (Florida)
