Portia de Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres Crush Divorce Rumors With Purchase of New Condo

By: Pam Wright - August 11, 2014

Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres should be able put divorce rumors to rest with the recent purchase of a new condo together.

The couple bought “an entire floor of a luxury building in Beverly Hills,” a source confirmed to RadarOnline, squashing weeks of rumors that the couple are headed for divorce.

“It is very centrally located, right in the heart of everything that they do in Hollywood,” said the insider. “They still have the land and the space they love in Santa Barbara, but this spot offers the convenience that they need.”

According to reports, the building comes with a full-service concierge, 24-hour staff, a fitness center and pool. The unit they purchased apparently offers amazing views of the city.

“It’s a good sign that they are going to stay together,” said the source. “Ellen and Portia have always loved working on a home project together!”

In July, de Rossi and DeGeneres sold their Los Angeles home, known as the Brady House, to Napster co-founder Sean Parker for $55 million. The couple did well for themselves on this particular property flip, turning a nice little profit on the 13,511 sq. ft. home they bought in January for $40 million.

Designed by Los Angeles architect Richard Keating, the couple’s new condo, located at 1200 Club View Drive, features a different interior designer for each unit, including David Sutherland, Christian Liaigre, Ralph Lauren’s City Modern, Armani/Casa, and James Perse’s Malibu Collection.

If her tongue doesn’t do the trick, a new upscale remodeling job will.

How can you get “divorced”, when you have never been “married”? These two woman are not married. Only one man and one woman can be married. Also…why does ellen try to look and act like a dude? Portia needs to find herself a REAL man instead of this old woman posing as a man.

When I saw the headline I started thinking how I was going to comment, then I looked at your comment and you said everything I was going to say except, They’re not “married”, they’re just two little girls playing house.

grow up and stop being so filled with judgement and hate- marriage can exist because of love. now go back to your glass house before you throw another stone. pig.

Would you like to produce my show? I will call it “Show & Tell” with details given @ response. A certain set of crones did something to me that was not good. I am clairvoyant, but of the living, the “DEAD SHALL REST IN PEACE”. I can read their minds, look @ their thoughts, know what is in their hearts, an extensive sort of other “SPIRITUAL GIFTS”. Do not worry I cannot do it face-to-face, it shall be discussed. I will CLARIFY or ILLUMINATE myself to all, of what I can do, differently. Again, these folks are ALIVE-LIVING, like you & I. It would be AWESOME!

I say the condo buying is Ellen’s idea for show…..It’s obvious that Portia wants out of the relationship and to leave that aging crone Ellen for someone her own age. But Ellen seems to be the one holding all the cards, wielding her power & big bucks and is forcing her to stay. I’ve read that Portia has taken alcohol dependency to dull the pain of being trapped in the relationship. I feel sorry for the two of them…all that money and yet both seem so unhappy.

    cannot buy love

  • Michael Horoda

Ah, yes… the grand property acquisition just before the divorce. Been there, done that.

  • Callis

LOL…co-sign that Michael Horoda! Ellen has been going down the checklist of the rumors/facts. 1st rumor – Ellen is having an affair with Sofia Vergara, which angered Portia to the point of wanting a divorce. 1st rumor SOLVED – Vergara is engaged and is happily in love, so no affair here people. 2nd rumor – Portia career has been stifled, due to career moves being controlled by Ellen. 2nd rumor SOLVED – Portia gets a role on the hit show ‘Scandal’. 3rd rumor – Portia hates the constant buying of new houses, so much so, she’s unable to settle down and acquire roots. 3rd rumor SOLVED – Ellen & Portia buy a condo together. Whatever the real story is, its seems that Ellen realized she had royally eff’ed up her relationship and has been trying to make amends ever since the rumors started.

Seems like u so called straight ppl dont let us live in this world….. y keeping ur nose in others matters. When u deal with ur own marriage issues too. Being gay is not a sin.

      • dean

Homosexuality is not sickness its genetics. Ones mind think like a guy it doesnt mean God made them tht way.

      • Callis

Dean, you are an idiot. Being gay is NOT a sin, IMO. Of course, nothing I said in my previous comment suggested that I thought it was. Ellen DeGeneres is a CELEBRITY. Portia de Rossi is a CELEBRITY. We, who comment, are FANS/followers of CELEBRITIES like these two and many more. As such, we follow the tidbits of their lives and in return SOMETIMES they let us into their lives via a magazine story or photo spreads. They want us to know and we, at the same time, want to know all we can. When tabloid rumors appear, we as fans will comment and express our feelings on the matter. That’s it. We have no input or influence on their daily lives, other than buying their products, watching their shows and spending our money on them.
