At E3 last year, EA surprised us all with the announcement of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. The class-based shooter takes the gameplay found in games like Team Fortress 2 and combines it with the now classic humor found in Plants vs. Zombies.
In the latest trailer for the game, Popcap shows off the new game mode - four player co-op. Like Horde mode in Gears of War, the co-op mode challenges four players to protect their garden from waves of increasingly difficult zombie hordes. This game mode plays more like the original tower defense game as players will be able to set up defenses while they take the fight directly to the zombies.
The gameplay footage below is taken from the Xbox One version of the game. It's obvious that Popcap is sparing no expense on the visuals as the game is one of the better looking next-gen games coming in 2014.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be out on February 18 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
