There’s still little over a month before the sequel to the PC game hit, Payday, becomes available on Steam. To get us ready, the developers are inviting various publications into their fold, giving them a go at Payday 2. In the lead video, some of the guys from VG247.com are allowed to take the bank robbery-based first-person shooter a test drive, and while the video does help stoke the fires of anticipation, it also gives a step-by-step tutorial of how not to rob a bank, in either the Payday universe, or real life.

After watching their attempt, the moral of the story is to use some caution and discretion when trying to take down the banks. The Call of Duty deathmatch/shoot-everything-in-the-room approach will result in the heat being on your behind with a SWAT team-like precision. Of course, if you like that kind of challenge, guns blazing is the way to go; although, I’m not sure how many banks you and your crew will successfully take down.

But then again, that’s part of the fun, right?

Payday 2 will be available on August 13, 2013. It is also available for pre-purchase just in case you’re afraid Steam will run out of copies.
