Patrick Ewing's rumored interview with the Charlotte Bobcats for the head coach position is scheduled to go down next week, according to the Associated Press. However, Ewing is one of several individuals who are interested in filling the vacancy, so there's no guarantee that the Hall of Famer will be working his magic on the team next year. An source speaking anonymously told AP that a handful of people have already interviewed for the job, including Golden State assistant coach Michael Malone and Bobcats assistant Stephen Silas, the latter of whom is the son of exiting coach Paul Silas. Additionally, the Bobcats are also interested in speaking with Indiana assistant Brian Shaw, Cleveland assistant Nate Tibbetts, and St. John's assistant Mike Dunlap.
The Charlotte Bobcats finished out this season with the worst winning percentage in NBA history. When everything was said and done, this year's record was 7-59. If Ewing does snag the position, he's going to have his work cut out for him.
