Yes you are right, Google will face compitition from other search engines and as you said Google will put technology to stay ahead in the quality of search add results, so both the advertising company as well as advertisers are benifited.

My website http://www.calculatoredge.com generates good hits from Engineers and Students and I am happy with Google program
