This is EXACTLY what I was looking for.

I know you posted this article 5-1/2 years ago, but today is the day I needed it. And thanks to a quick Google search and your handy explanation of how to set the line length in textpad way back when, I now have a much needed answer to my question -- here in Jan 2009.
