Teeth whitening product review

This is great.

I hope people will reupload their poor quality videos and make them high quality.

Finally, Straming video is as good as watching TV without those annoying pixelated videos with boxy video.

It's true!

Some of the high definition music vids I've watched on there lately have been incredible! The quality is outstanding! When I search for vids now, I put HD or high definition in along with the band/song for the best results... try it!

Especially live performances... better than being there! Okay, maybe not, but you sure can hear the music and see the band better! lol :D

U Fooled Me!

When you said higher quality -- I thought you meant higher **content** quality. :-o (and I went and got all excited for no reason)

Size of videos

While the new You Tube will allow videos in HD quality up to 20GB-- what about the videos in the lower quality? Currently they do not allow videos greater than 100 MB or greater than 10 minutes. What will be the new size and time allowed in ordinary video like mpeg, wmv ?

Finally

It was about time they do that.

RE: YouTube About to Become Higher Quality

I agree with one commenter who stated that the problem with YouTube is not the quality of the videos - the problem rests with the people who make them. Most of the content on YouTube is 'Talking Head' rants and blabs from people who want share their opinion about something - this becomes tiresome and pointless. Despite the technology of HD delivery, the sad fact remains that most of the user content on YouTube is largely garbage and not interesting beyond 5 minutes. On the other hand, Hulu is far better quality in terms of BOTH quality of picture and quality of content. YouTube is attempting to create a stable revenue model supported largely by advertisers and it simply cannot be done with user generated rubbish.

Need better bandwidth broadband

With Youtube going HD, we will need to have better quality of high speed broadband otherwise it will slow down. Let's hope that broadband provider will be able to give us a better price with higher speed broadband connection otherwise we will miss the chance of enjoying good HD movies online.

Good, and yet

The problem with the quality of the videos on youtube isn't the resolution, its the people who make them.

exactly brother. people

exactly brother. people should make videos in high resolution.

I welcome this as well.

I welcome this as well. Wonder how long videos can be. I am more interested in the length and size (less compression of SD video) rather than HD.

I have the higher speed Verizon DSL (3 Mbps?) but even that isn't enough for the HD clips on youtube since it struggles greatly. But perhaps that's also my computer, a 2 ghz P4?

But if I download I can usually watch the HD movies in full quality.

Better Quality

It's good to have a clearer picture, but won't better quality HD pictures cause the videos to run slower?

Its only a matter of time,

Its only a matter of time, thanks for the heads up, will be looking forward for this.

Im surprised they didnt do

Im surprised they didnt do this sooner. Im guessing this also means the regular videos can now be twice as long if not using the higher quality

i predicted this ages ago -

i predicted this ages ago - it's just natural progression. Eventually you'll be able to watch full HD movies on full screens using YouTube. It will make the tiny, low quality virals that we watch now look so basic.

Good news

That'll be a good change as some of the videos at YouTube are really bad in quality.
