I am actually somewhat surprised about the hype that the 3Gs created. To me, the biggest announcement was the fact that the 3G is now $99. The various upgrades in the 3Gs are nice, but the swarm of people who bought into the 3G last year have to give up an arm and a leg to get one. The hype must be from many of the original iPhone owners and those who had not yet bought into the iPhone product line.
