Real-Time Search Engine Collecta Launches

Let the battle for real-time search supremacy begin

So many search engine alternatives now

It's amazing how many search engines have been introduced in the last few months (and even the last week). I think I'm now up to

six new ones. More at http://domusinc.blogspot.com/2009/06/facebook-twitter-collecta-crowdeye.html.

Not like other search engines

They sure aren't. Personally I dont think they will ever be top of the pile - no competition here for Google or anyone else for the simple fact that they dont support IE6, which a lot of their prospective customers still use. Dumbasses if you ask me.

Topic Homepage competitor

It seems that this real-time search is getting a lot of attention from startups.

Another topic search service launched I believe in the same day as collecta:

Lots of bugs

Nothing but problems so far. needs work....lots of it.

It was shocked me while

It was shocked me while there were two brand new search engines which launched this month.
Well about this brand new Collecta, I still can't says pretty much cause I've been still try and explore it.
But there is one thing which annoying me while I try to make a search for second it always said if Collecta is not available. How's about that?

This doesn't sound like

This doesn't sound like real-time to me. Real-time would be querying the whole web when the search terms are entered.

I'm digging Collecta. Really

I'm digging Collecta. Really good place to see trends from all angles.

collecta seems a bit buggy -

collecta seems a bit buggy - are they still having downtime issues?

It's searching fine for me

It's searching fine for me at the moment... it was giving me problems earlier.

You can follow Collecta at http://twitter.com/collectadotcom to stay up on downtime issues.

Hope this helps.
