Very informative information
Very informative information of do's and don't on link building.
I still don't see the lazy
I still don't see the lazy man's way of link building. Another thing to add is, social book marking, this is another way to link build, view it from hundreds to thounsands of bm! West Coast Vinyl
Anchor Text
I read with interest a point made in the second comment "Preferred anchor is best, but not absolutely necessary" - would NOT using keyword related anchor text when submitting comments on sites such as this be the exception?
"Non-desirable back links.
"Non-desirable back links. – In your attempt to acquire links, avoid ... posting your links on non-related websites."
Then you go on to say: "One of the most effective methods of building back links quickly is to use article marketing. Article marketing is the process of writing and distributing high quality content to article directories."
Contradictory? If my website is about sharks, the article directory isnt about sharks, but if I submit an article to them surely this becomes a "non-related website/non-desirable back link" does it not??

Unfortunately innaccurate
Sorry, but I feel I need to shed some light on this article.
a) Sitemaps - doesn't really fall into building links, this is on page seo 101.
b) Posting duplicate content has nothing to do with inbound links.
c) A desirable link is not necessarily a link that has your keyword phrase as the anchor. A desirable link is a link from an authority, or trusted and aged domain to yours regardless of anchor. Preferred anchor is best, but not absolutely necessary.
d) Semi and automated article software gets you nowhere. Article directories are not trusted and authority sources, except for Ezinearticles.com which is slowly decaying in value itself. Article marketing itself is NOT an effective way to build valuable long term inbound links. There are only a small number of very high quality niche article directories that will give you a link worth getting. so get an article over to those. Other than that, don't waste your time.
Article marketing
Article Marketing is a very effective way to gain quality readers & possible customers.
I like that we can have two anchor back links in the bio box so we can send readers either to our blog or affiliate program directly.
Use semi-automated software can be harmful
It can bring bad quality links that will do no good.
