I love the new user name feature. Makes it easy to send visitors to your site now and looks better as well.

I agree that it is long overdue. I just changed mine today without any glitches. I wish they had this feature when I first signed up. I think that it is a good way to promote your business.

That's the Microsoft way, "let's copy everyone else". I mean look at Vista compared to Mac OSX? Notice anything similar???
A good move by Facebook, but
A good move by Facebook, but I'm concerned that a lot of these moves are things they should've done long ago or things they're copying from others. How about some originality and creativity. Many of the major social networks already have short urls or username urls and of course Twitter is home to the @reply. I think all these are good moves, but they really need to come up with some things that are unique.
