Where to Submit Sitemaps

Perhaps a good link to complement this piece on sitemap is a tutorial on How to: Submit your Sitemap to the Top 5 Places Where They Need to Be.

Including Google, there are only 5 search engines / sites that support pinging sitemaps (but they amount for most of the search engine traffic).

Wow! from 1,000 to almost 2.5 billion URL per sitemap is a big step though. I wondered what is going on and fortunately found the answer over here.
