I use both of these on a regular basis and have to say, I think they are both excellent. I do prefer the the layout and presentation of Techcrunch. If you put a gun to my head, I would go with Techcrunch. They are much more supportive to start-ups and look to give them a break by profiling them or just doing a write on them. They say when you are on Techcrunch you have made it. Here's hoping they will be talking about www.iwikiphone.com soon

I'm gonna stay loyal to TechCrunch. I believe it has better quality of articles, more breaking news exclusives and all that stuff that really matters :)
Never liked the look and feel of Mashable. Also, Arrington is genius and I love his style of humor, especially in comments. :D
I've been a user of
I've been a user of TechCrunch for ages, and I didn't even know Mashable existed. I just had a look at it and it does seem to be rich in content, but I prefer the design of Techcrunch. I'm sure nothing will deter the users of Techcrunch - both wil co-exist as dominant blogs.
These numbers are suspect
I have subscribed to mashable and techcrunch for years now, but I think these numbers are suspect. Assuming that mashable really does have more traffic, I would still say techcrunch is much more influential (the quality of the traffic is higher).
That's just my 2 cents...
