Majority Of People Can Imagine Picking Bing Over Google?

Survey says "yes"

Well I don't see Bing

Well I don't see Bing defeating Google in the coming years.Google has already captured the market and they are continuously upgrading their algorithms.Bing on the other hand doesn't show any good search performance. Its just a remodeling of Live. But again its true that Google has become a garbage spot.I think Google should clean it up first. :)

support bing

Right,support bing.

Bing what a joke

Does anyone really expect Microsoft to have an impartial search engine that doesn’t lead people to MSN, Windows Live or some other horrible Microsoft product?

I'm Staying with Google!

Like everything else that Microsoft introduces, Bing will be riddled with errors, it will crash constantly, and a million patches will have to be release with it. Not only that, but MS will probably find some way to charge for its use.

Google is an innovative company that produces high quality services and MS can't compete!

I'm staying with Google!

So much passion on Microsoft news articles

Why is there so much emotion (positive and negative) when a news story focuses on Microsoft? Let's stick with the facts and how they might or might not impact us. In what ways is Bing better or worse than Google or Yahoo? How will (or should) Bing's introduction affect marketers? Here are my newest thoughts on Bing, Yahoo!, and Google.

Bing it on

Competition is good it keeps things in check and will ultimately be better for consumers. I welcome it, and although I love Google features, I would hate to see ANY company run away with a monopoly on search.

Free Foreclosure Listings, bank owned homes for all major Lenders

ho hum...

Must confess, bing hasn't particularly won my heart. The video preview feature is an interesting aside (yet another bandwidth drain tho..)

Whilst competition is good, etc., it can hardly be said that Google is a monopoly that doesn't have any. It's good at it's job. What more can be said? Yahoo, Live/bing, alta vista, turbo10, accoona, aggregators like dogpile, etc are all competition, whether a serious threat or not.

bing is just another rebrand of a service that has a history (remember that 'Live search' was not a new bit of kit when it launched...). Yes, it has a nice bit of macro-lens photography on the start page, and returns relevant results - so does altavista (still).

I would be interested in who was represented in that 1000 people surveyed, given the gigantically braod spectrum of internet users, 1000 folk will represent less than 0.1% of those online, so 55% of that isn't particularly representative.

It's a nice soundbite, granted, but all I feel is 'meh'
Soz, microsoft..

For once Microsoft seem to

For once Microsoft seem to be getting it right in the search engine arena, since they fail in their bid to acquire Yahoo, I think the resolve to give it a fight and see how far they can go.

Lets not forget that Microsoft never give up in any area of technology they set their eye on, it will only take time but the competition is up.

And hey nobody is a winner here, google, microsoft, yahoo are in in together, and also watch out for Bargain Master Nigeria http://www.bargainmasterng.com for finding the best bargains in Nigeria and all over the world.

Please go troll your wares

Please go troll your wares somewhere else. Nigeria? You must be joking. And Microsoft may not give up, they just fail. Lets see....Live search, Zune, among other

LOL!!! LOL!

That was PRICELESS man! LOL! Nigeria of all places to find bargains. What is it? A zhitload of AK-47s? LOL! Or is it wagon full of sheep? LOL!

Bing is much needed

I'm glad Microsoft are bringing out a real competitor to Google, finally Google will have a run for its money and competition can only be a good thing (even if Microsoft doesn't like it when it happens to them).

For those that think Bing won't be able to challenge Google I'd think again. Over the years numerous search engines have held the top spot including Hotbot, AltaVista, Excite, Yahoo, and Lycos but each was toppled and it can happen again, Microsoft certainly have the marketing muscle to do so although it will take time of course, and over time I've no doubt they will improve their own search algorithm.

Bing?

I think this is a chance for bing to show what it's made for, since all attention is pointing to them, people now examining it, but so far many people not satisfy with it

Bing?

I like bing, it is much easier to navigate for me. I use everything that is microsoft which includes small business live, they have a great site where you can also create very nice websites

I was going to give it a go

I was going to give it a go with Bing but the keyword search was very basic and came back with few results, to the point that I had to use my own keywords and at the last post (payment option) they only accepted credit card. Nice to have competition in the PPC arena but I think they have a long way to go before this happens.

Google and Bing

Thanks

Hmm ...

Quite interesting stuff. If you asked me, I'd say it's more a case of webmasters getting fed up with Google's search dominance than anything else. I mean no one really likes a "monopoly", unless of course your the one behind that monopoly.

I for one find it particularly annoying that millions always have to catch a cold when one person sneezes. I think the competition is very much welcome, of course that is not to say Bing would become the new Google or anything. Quite honestly I don't see that happening.

At least not yet. :)
